I'm primarily a Solo Artist, but have recently joined forces with James Forrest Hughes, Composer/ musician from Grand Rapids, to form the duo JUKE. James and I shared the stage at various events in 2009 and have a connection that has caught the attention of many people. Whether on Stand-up or Electric Bass, or any of a number of other instruments, James is force that can not be contained. Other musicians I've had the opportunity to share the stage include: Kelly Shively, Kirby (Snively), Dean Wiers Windemuller, Ben Silva, Ed Robert, Rob Cody, Pam Luce, Ashley Holland (Little Jane & the Pistol Whips), Jack Elliot, Robin Luce, Gordon Howie, Gail Gerrie, John Richey, & Pat Hand.

Sounds Like
Recently my style and sound has been likened to James Taylor as well as Skip James. I personally feel I sound more like Michael Lee.
You have to like snow to live where I do, not just tolerate it. When ever you watch the Weather on TV, That bright purple streak of "snow belt" area, is ALWAYS over my house. At least it seems so. Consequently, I spend as much or more of the winter dealing with, or playing in the snow, than I seem to do playing music. It can be beautiful and inspirational, or dauntingly difficult. It can also make you appreciate those 90 degrees in the summer that sap the life right out of you. With all that said, it's as much a part of me, my inspirations, desires, struggles, and accomplishments as anything I could hope to do on my own. It can dictate what I do or allow me the peace to do nothing at all, and all I have to do is pay attention to it. This area is my muse.
I live near the Jordan River in Antrim County, Michigan. Originally from North West Ohio, I've made my home in Michigan for 30+ years, seeking the natural splendor of this area. I've had many opportunities to share my love for music with other artists, when "Life" didn't get in the way. I've been part of the duo "Synergy", the "Roscoe Jordan Band", & the Classic Rock band "Claude Fraug". The new collaboration JUKE, with James Hughes essentially begins Dec 30, 2009 at the Marsh, (my home). The following night , New Year's Eve, we will be performing in Traverse City to open for Thornetta Davis. We are continuing to book the duo into the summer with engagements in the Flint and Grand Rapids areas. My November 2008 win at the Mid North Michigan Blues Challenge in Traverse City, secured me a spot in the solo-duo class competition at February 2009's International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee. Now that same connection has landed me a position on the Board of the Farmhouse Music Org, that umbrella's the Mid North Michigan Blues Society. These have lead to countless opportunities at venues and festivals throughout Michigan, and into Ohio and Indiana. As a stage co-ordinater at Gaylord's Big Ticket Festival, and a member and Ensemble Leader on the Worship Team at Walloon Lake Community Church, I am immersed in Worship music as well and have been blessed with leading Worship at various churches from Mackinac Island Bible Church, to Cherry Valley Presbyterian Church in Caledona, MI. With a love for Folk, Blues, Rock, R & B, Regional, and Roots styles of music, I fill my songs with the qualities I've enjoyed over the years.
My last CD "My Own Man" displays my lyrical style in Blues, Folk, Roots, R & R, & Christian Contemporary, but does not depict my live performance.
Dec. 19, 2009, Elected President of Farmhouse Music Organization
