Recording artist, Michael Londra, is originally from Wexford in the South East of Ireland but now makes New York his home.
As lead singer of Riverdance on Broadway and of the 1st national tour in the US, Michael has garnered a reputation as a contemporary Irish tenor but he has since recorded more modern Celtic music to huge success . His current album, CELT has been released worldwide, having stellar sales in Asia particularly in Korea, with a No. 1 World Music Album and charting in the Top 20 in many of the pop charts.
He is currently lead voice, singing the role of Jesus in John Debneys Passion of the Christ Symphony from his Oscar nominated score of the Mel Gibson movie.
He has performed all over the world , singing in theaters such as Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, The Gershwin on Broadway and the Apollo in Londons West End. He has performed with Leeann Rimes, Charlotte Church and Bernadette Peters.
Michael is an ambassador for Concern Worldwide US, one of the worlds leading agencies working in 30 of the poorest countries of the world. As well as being a performer Michael has been involved in the promotion of other artists including Celtic Legends, John McDermott and Celtic Woman. He is a co founder and partner of the Pele Mele Network, a global entertainment company involved in promotion, production and artist development across the globe. Current projects include
representation of famous French singer , Jil Aigrot, the voice of Edith Piaf in the worldwide hit movie, La Vie En Rose, hotly tipped for an Oscar in 2008. The network is also preparing for the 2008 European tour of South African phenomenon, African Footprint and the upcoming European tour of Direct from Vegas – The Rat Pack. Michael acts as Music Advisor to the Casino Estoril , the biggest casino in Europe.
