Michael Mee's Blurbs |
About me:
I am a stand-up comedian and writer based in Dublin, Ireland (ie not Ohio). I was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada (ie not Jamaica) and grew up in Cork, Ireland (um, ie not Kent). I used to be a lecturer in law in another century. I have been gigging for ten years now. I have done two solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and I've done gigs in New York and Boston, Munich, Luxembourg, Brussels and Skibbereen. I lived in London for two years and I still play regularly on the UK circuit. I've performed on TV in Ireland and the UK. In terms of writing, I have written a pilot for a TV comedy series and I'd like to do more at that end of things if possible. I have had short stories published and I wrote and scripted a short animated film that was shown at a few festivals. I wrote a feature film script that received development funding from the Irish Film Board. So that's it, stand-up and writing.
