Michael M. Prescott is a guitarist, composer, arranger, producer and music educator who resides in Norway, Maine. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Southern Maine School of Music with a bachelor of arts degree in Classical Guitar, and Music Education. Michael is an avid composer and performer, and currently devotes the majority of his time educating students as a High School Music Director at Mountain Valley High School in Rumford Maine.

As a performer, his style has been formed from a broad range of influences. Some of these include: Merle Travis, Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Keith Crook, Bob Thompson, Jon Finn, Andy Timmons, John Petrucci, Josh Preston, Earl Scruggs,Johann Kaspar Mertz, Porcupine Tree, Frost, Citizen Cope, and Johnny Hiland. Listening to his original music, one can hear a variety of influences through an individual voice. In addition to this, he has been known to occasionally refer to himself in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person.
Merry Christmas! We're hanging out here until the 26th and then going to see Amanda's family in Kentucky. Having a late Christmas in Ohio sometime in January. Is all your family in Maine? Holidays are usually super busy for us. I'm looking forward to spacing it out a little this year. Talk to ya soon. Stay warm up there
"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell." Bill Margold, Cinema Seen, L.A. X..Press
Yeah man, anytime. Definitely up hanging you guys. Been too long.
The recording is not really going well at all. On a side note, I am thinking about jamming with this girl I went to highschool with and she's pretty talented so I may do some guitar work for her, but other than than I'm having trouble staying inspired without a percussion section (as far as recording goes anyway). Sucks man. I'm a guitar player. I have no friggen interst programming a drum track when I'm inspired to play guitar. Know what I mean?
But anyway... I'm going to be gone this coming weekend but I think we'll be free the first weekend in October... you game?
good to hear from ya. things are the same as always. work, play, work, play. you're back to school by now right? hows it going? seems like a cool job ya got. any recording lately? keep in touch.
Thanks for the positive comments about the CD. Larry, Seth and I are making a go of it as a three-piece and it just might work, but Larry needs help with your tapping part on Fools. Could you send me a tab of it or maybe make a quick video where it is slowed down so he has some clue how to approach it? He's getting the other pieces okay but that one is getting by him.

Good luck, though it won't be too hard to cook them, its just check up on the heat to make sure they don't burn and you're golden (or they will be =]) Its not me, its my younger brother, i was wonder if you could give him some lessons? I know its 20/hour, so i was wondering when he could start? He's 9 right now, and he hasn't had much practice so he needs guidance on what to learn and how to improve, i can give him some lessons, but its just not the same.
My bassist is a hockey player and he was trying to get some people to come check us out..We are doing a booze cruize on Sunday the 26th. Come down........only 15.00 per person. what a bargain
