We are a high energy 5 member band that plays primarily country music but with our rock roots our band is versatile enough to also play some good ol’ Southern Rock and amaze you with our 4 part harmony. Any good country band can take the stage and play some music but our band, THE MICHAEL PAUL BAND, likes to take the stage and give you a show and involve YOU in our show! We aren't just a cover band, in addition to singing songs by Hit Country Artists such as Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, George Strait and many others, you will be delighted to hear us perform and sing to Michael Paul originals that every audience member can relate to in one way or another. We aim to have you up on your feet dancing and surprise you with our acapella songs too!
Some of our clients have included: 6 Flags Great America, Contra Costa County Fair, The Walnut Festival in Walnut Creek, Dixon May Fair, Blue Lake Casino, Bear River Casino, City of Brentwood - Starry Nights Concert in the Park Series, Rio Vista Bass Festival, and many local clubs.
The MPB has played with or opened for bands well known in the Bay Area such as 38 Special, Tower Of Power, Elvin Bishop, Cold Blood, Van Morrison, and Steve Miller (to name a few). Michael Paul fronts the band with his vocals (think Toby Keith meets the Eagles) and Don Hays on lead guitar/vocals, Jerry “Stix” Stefan on drums/vocals, Frankie G. on bass/vocals, and Scott MacGill keys/vocals. Michael Paul's originals have already made a debut on internet and non commercial radio!

Hey MPB and T!! We had so much fun at Judy's Wild Wrangler Saloon the other night. MP, Don and I really rocked out on the guitar. Lol. Well, they rocked. I kind of rolled. I wish we could have stayed later, but it was after 3 in the morning by the time we got home. We need to get together soon. I need my dancing exercises and my country music fix.
