About me: Hey Everyone, To try and accomidate all my friends who come here I will TRY to give a brief summary of my life right now. I was married for 4 years up till 1995, have one daughter named Marina with my ex, and she is a beautiful young lady about to be 16 in August. She loves acting and singing and is very good at it, I am so proud of her. I have now been married for 6 years to my wonderful wife Tina, (Who is 10 years younger than me) and have 2 beautiful children with her. Mackenzie who is 4 1/2, and is my little blonde bombshell. Has almost too much energy for me, and keeps me busy. Then we have Elijah who will be 2 in September, has been our biggest challenge of all. He was born with a rare genetic disorder called Jeunes Syndrome, which is a rare form of dwarfism affecting mainly his ribcage. To try to sum up, after an initial flight to Iowa City and 7 weeks in the hospital after birth, then a couple more transports back to Iowa City at a couple of weeks at a time. Collapsed lung, Pneumonia's and constantly sick due to his Juenes Syndrome. We found out that he wouldn't make it without a recently FDA approved procedure to expand his ribcage, so due to his constant illness, the best doctors and the warmer climate, we decided to move to San Antonio, TX. I gave up 11 years seniority as an engineer for the UP Railroad in Chicago, moved to San Antonio, where I still work for the UP, but had to start over on my seniority and have been laid-off since January. But Elijah has had his first inplant surgery (March) and is doing great. His next inplant will be in September we think. After that he will still have to have between 35 and 40 more surgeries for adjustment and replacement. He also has a feeding tube and a pancreatic insufficiency and has to have enzymes. That's it. With all of this everything is going ok. Elijah doing better is the main thing. Thanks, Mike.
