Bio
.. I have currently been playing classical guitar for about seven years. I first began playing guitar at age 14 when I was greatly inspired by the rock band known as "Rush". Even when I was little kid, I always wondered how guitarist do what they do. I was always intrigued by the instrument and I found it amayzing how guitarist could display such dexterity with their hands. When I first heard Rush, I knew I had to pick the guitar and start playing. It was at that point that I decided to put my wonderment to work. So I borrowed by brothers first electric guitar. Several years before I decided to start practicing, my brother took a few lessons himself and became pretty good; however, at that time, there were so many things going on that it was hard for him to find the time to practice. So his guitar started to collect a little dust. So he let me borrow it for a few years. I practiced the electric guitar for about four years and I enjoyed it much, yet I felt I needed to do something a little different with my music. I wasn’t in a band, and I couldn’t forsee myself being in a band anytime soon. Sure, I was playing some good rhythms and even some lead guitar, yet for some reason, it just didn’t seem to fulfill my needs. I started piano lessons and played for a couple of months, but I still had a greater love for the guitar. So I started thinking of ways that I could incorporate the piano with the guitar all in one. This led me to start taking classical guitar lessons. I wanted to learn to read music, and I wanted to play complex pieces. It was this desire that led me to the classical guitar. It’s been seven years now, and I wish I would have started at a much earlier age, but alas, I’m stuck with what I have. But I’m enjoying every minute of it. Lately I’ve been playing at the different cafes around town, just randomly. I really enjoy doing that. It’s great meeting new faces all the time. I try to practice the guitar everyday, at least a little if not more. I’m always trying to learn new pieces. Lately, I’ve been learning some folk, swing, and blues tunes on classical guitar. .... 10 of 22MoreHey ! Haven't seen you in a while, I've been a busy/sick/out of town person and not been swinging, which makes me sad.
Anyway, I've got a new song up "Worth Fighting For", and if you check it out let me know what you think, it would be appreciated :-)
