About me: Hello my name is Michael Dennis and welcome to my poetry site.
All this stuff is pretty new to me so I don't have much of an idea on how I go about this.
I am a London Taxi driver and up until about two years ago I had no interest in poetry. Then these thoughts started coming into my head, so I thought I would put them down on paper. A good friend of mine (Thank you) read some of the stuff I had written, and the look in their eye and the smile on their face made me realise that I could reach people with my work.
They suggested I started to leave copies of my poems out on the backseat of my cab for passengers to read. Peoples reactions have been both astounding and encouraging, so I thought I would give my work a wider audience.
The people I write about are real people who have been a part of my life. The situations that I write about are true accounts and the rest of the poems are me viewing life, people and London through the eyes of the boy in the crowd in The Emperor's New Clothes.
I hope you like what you read, if not, well the world would be a very boring place if everyone thought the same.

Thanks for sharing its brilliant, never knew you could sing and you could definetly pass for a toff banker anyday..haha Did you have someone record and film it for you? I'm still a bit shy about videos though i got filmed at an open mic nights while back. anyway great stuff glad to see your exploring other avenues and posted it on facebook for you hope it helps.
