    .. .. .. .. .. ...... .... .. .. ...... Mixing heartfelt music with high-energy acoustic rock, Michael Waido has broke the scene in a style that is completely his own. Waido’s debut album Fellowship of the Flood has sold in 40 states and 10 international countries. Waido was born in Fort Collins, Co, in 1979. Music was a major part of Michael’s diet as he studied three instruments and received professional training at the Colorado Academy of the Arts. He cites the Beatles, Radiohead, and Ryan Adams as his greatest influences on his music. At age 12 Waido received his first guitar and quickly rushed to start a garage band. Waido admits the band’s “loud sound” was the only thing it had going for them with little original music and no artistic talent. Other band’s soon followed, with greater success, however it was quite apparent that Waido was tired of the revolving door that came in bands. There was hope, and in the early 21st century after breaking up with what he now calls his “first muse” Michael Waido went solo. (With band members of course) Having his name “Michael Waido” as the name for this singer/songwriter band. Insightful lyrics, passionate music, comedy songs and plenty pints of Guinness later these acoustic rockers continue to play venues up and down the Front Range and several national venues to critical acclaim. The band’s original music has been compared by many to such artists as Matchbox 20, Counting Crows and Ryan Adams. In any case, Michael Waido will be a name in music for years to come.
