Michele's style is a provocative blend of blues, soul, rock and pop, with a hint of folk and a dash of country, earning her comparisons with Shawn Colvin, Kd Lang, Alison Krauss and Sarah McLachlan.
She will be releasing ‘Songs That Saved My Life’ in Autumn 2009 and is currently on her Money Back Guaranteed Tour and enjoying the number 2 spot on download music with her recently released single 'Time'.
At 17, she went to Italy and sang with an Irish trad group, after which she collaborated with established songwriters like Liam Reilly, Keith Donald (Moving Hearts) Steve Wickham (The Waterboys), and Thom Moore. In 2000 she supported Mary Black, Paul Brady, Sharon Shannon and Altan, and made the Top 100 Unplugged Songs of the Year in Hot Press. In 2003 she released Shark Cages, and her 6-track EP ‘A Breakfast Affair’ came out in 2005 with a sold-out gig at The Sugar Club. In 2005 she featured on the 10 Summer Nights compilation, headlined at Dublin’s Civic Theatre and was Hot Press’ First Cuts artist of 2005.
2006 had Michele busy gigging with Don Baker, Mick Hanly, Leslie Dowdall, Mike Hanrahan and Marian Bradfield, as well as solo shows. In 2007 she headlined in Manhattan's Ear Inn in New York, and performed in France.
2008 saw Michele record her debut album ‘Songs That Saved My Life’, and the single ‘Fall On Me’ (with Caruso), was followed by a headliner at the Blues Autour de Zinc 08 Festival in France.
In 2009 Michele has played support to Brian Kennedy and Luka Bloom, and performed at a charity gig for the Niall Mellon Trust, among other live work this year.
