Classical composers: Frédéric Chopin, Felix Mendelssohn, Sergei Rachmaninov, Bedrich Smetana. Contemporary composers: Kitaro, Ennio Morricone, Michael Nyman, Vangelis, George Winston, Hans Zimmer. I will never forget the first time I saw Gone with the Wind and, hearing the intermission music, realized that the essence of the story was woven through Max Steiner’s score.
I seek to tell stories with my music -- to capture experiences and emotions. All the pieces in "Myths & Legends" were inspired by timeless narratives of adventure, love and yearning. I recorded the album at the Chicago Recording Company, during a period of record snowstorms, wearing my favorite pink Ugg slippers. People have told me that my music goes well with a glass of wine; helps manage stress while paying bills or sitting in traffic; complements healing massage and Reiki; is calming during cancer treatments. "The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of ATTITUDE on life.
Attitude, to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company ...a church ...a home.
The remarkable thing is WE HAVE A CHOICE EVERYDAY regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past ...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the ONE STRING we have, and that is our ATTITUDE ...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... WE ARE IN CHARGE OF OUR ATTITUDE."

Recently, I added a new song to my music player called, "Always" which might be one of the best songs I've written so far. The chorus was scored for an entire violin section, however, in studio, I had one violinist, Jan "Yes I Can" Sullins. I asked her to single handedly create the sound of a "Hollywood style" string section. This is almost like telling someone, "Please jump rope one handed 10 times while monkeys nip at your feet." :-)
