Of Life and Love
I was captured by the lines of experience that mapped those hands
Creases of vestige to the miles traveled
Well aged they were, like the fruit tree
That labored to display its abundant bounty in the yard
Weary fingers, with joints seasoned by the passage of time
If only they could talk, these hands
Share with me their tales of wisdom
Nurture me with a bedtime story of life and love
I watched quietly, unobserved, as they worked the soil of his garden
He plucked up the unwanted distractions
Smartly removed the suckers from the roots
Lovingly pruned and shaped his garden
So that it would bloom again another day
Testament of his faith and vision of coming tomorrows
Tired now, this sage stood and wiped wet wrinkles
Through wisps of gray
A light sparked in those weathered blue eyes as a Smile carved laugh lines in his face
Slowly, the object of his affection labored down the front porch steps
Careful not to spill one drop of the ice-cold lemonade that sweat in her hand
Shuffling along, hunched over by years of servitude,
Etched by countless memories earned,
The beauty I spied was in their gaze!
He politely opened the gate of the garden with his soiled hands
Escorting his partner, they sat affectionately close
On their carefully placed perch
Like two love birds admiring each other and
The growing abundance of well tended life
It was in that moment, that I witnessed the miracle of commitment and
The magic of seeds of love tenderly planted, and harvested, in
One adoring kiss! Unknown Author

I'm very grateful for my Maori heritage. I write and speak Maori. I taught myself the maori language by translating using an English Book of Mormon and a Maori Book of Mormon many years ago.
I have a love and appreciation for the ocean. I have swam amidst sharks. I remember from a young age feeling so alive and in wonderment while being priviledged to enjoy the tranquility of natures waters.
I play Classical and Folk guitar.
I have been singing in my church choir for many years.
I have been told I have a natural gift for writing. I have written songs and children's stories. I am actually currently working on short stories and poems, which I would like to get published.
I'm currently working on a degree in Law.
I have an interest in the study of sociology and anthropology (cultures).
I love all animals. Bunny Rabbits and cats make nice pets. I had a horse when I grew up.
Some favorite activities of mine are spending time with my family, going to the LDS Temple & church, swimming, yoga, fashion, shopping and tennis.

I don't always log onto all my accounts if I'm too busy or I don't always reply or read comments or messages if I don't have time Mom. This profile is special to me and it is another avenue for me to be able to send Moby my Love. Smiles.
I hope that you will have a nice celebration for your birthday. If you were closer you know I would do a lovely dinner party for you Mom.
It was so special that you were on Twitter tonight around the time I signed on. That has never happened before. I love the internet. It helps me to feel not so far away from you my very loved Mother.
