Michel Galipeau and his work ceaselessly evolved across artistic and cultural boundaries and has enriched our lives with his passion and his art. “Galipeau” explored the many facets of people and their often-fragile world around them and the world within. Rich in contrasts, Michel Galipeau’s work reflected the full range of human emotions: love, violence, desire, fear, happiness, chaos, freedom, and absurdity…
Over the years he has often “reinvented” his art; however; one constant remains. From his paintings, digital images, carvings, sculptures, drawings, print-making, photography, and graphics is harmony of form and color, and the emotions he wishes to convey is of the utmost importance. This has led him to create a visual language of a rare intensity, one that perhaps is only paralleled by the strong sensations it provokes. Michel was an important participant in the cultural movement of Nouvel-Ontario since the mid 1970s. His works are found in public and private collections throughout Canada, Great Britain, Spain, and Africa.

Michel lost his very brave and determined battle to non-hodgkins lymphoma in the spring of 2006.
Through out his courageous fight we learned how much attention and research is needed into this cancer, and stem cell research. We also learned how important and vital it is to donate blood whenever you can.
In tribute to a brave man, a monetary donation in his honor to the NorthEastern Cancer Research Foundation - SPECIFICALLY to NON-HOGKINS LYMPHOMA research - would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps with more research, a winning battle won't be so brutal for our next friend.

Recently the Centre de Sante dedicated a room in honor of Michel "Le jardin Michel Galipeau". You can find a wall mural he did there. For over 6 years, once a week, Michel volunteered as the visual arts instructor at the Centre. He also did a full wall sculpture. wow i was going through my things today and i found a t-shirt that Michel painted (well drew) for me when i was 2 years old . . . it was my favorite shirt then and it's still my favorite now!

These works are maps of philosophies, universal truths, dimensions, future devices, time-machines, thought-forms, ethical systems and future possibilites .. created with the intent of consolidating all the worlds technical and spiritual information into templates for understanding & creating the positve future today. This time period will see the end of 'science fiction' as all possibilities become reality. Religions, morality, mysticism and technology converge and after this sequence (which is happenng now) - all technology becomes physically alive as evolution becomes artificial & self-directed. Life and death become united and sex, race, species, matter, mind, space and time become interchangeable
I thought it suiting to be the first to comment lol. I have been asked to set this site and help with the upkeep and I can't be more happy about it. Michel was a one of a kind, a kind, loving man. He was family... and wonderful man with the funny french laugh :P
