    Michelle's Interests
GeneralDuring the summer I kayak, hike, BACKPACK, gaze at stars, SKATE, waterski, TRAVEL, scuba, and sail. I also like to COOK and I love serving dinner on my deck when the weather is nice. During winter I like downhill SKIING, usually at Stevens Pass, although I've been known to go to Whistler more than the average person. I also snow shoe and cross-country ski, which I find as enjoyable as downhill. Anytime of the year you'll find me DANCING at a variety of places. I love it and cannot seem to help myself, especially if I hear music with a good solid back-beat, so be prepared to go out on the dance floor often. I am also a musician - GUITAR, keyboards, and harmonica. I have just started playing at "open mic" jams in the area - Daman's Tavern in Redmond, JR's in Everett, and Wild Rover in Kirkland. It's a bit scary, but find it a lot of fun.
Music70's, 80's, 90's Rock'n Roll, Blues, and easy listening Jazz are my favorites, but I also enjoy most everything else except techno-disco and rap. They've go no soul.
MoviesSci-Fi, action films, and romantic date movies are my favs. I also enjoy fantasy flicks and westerns.
TelevisionPretty much the same genre as the movie list. In the DVR are Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, and Ugly Betty.
BooksLove the Harry Potter series, all the Dan Brown books including the DaVinci Code, and the Grisham Law thrillers. I also read the Wall Street Journal, MIT Technology Review, and AARP mags.
HeroesMy grandfather who came to the USA from Italy with nothing and made something of himself, my folks for loving us and each other for over 50 years, and my sister for always rising to the occasion.

About me:
At 5'11", I am very tall. Demure and petite are not words that come to mind when you look at me. I workout in my home gym most everyday and try to eat right (though I am a sucker for nachos). My friends tell me I am very smart, kind, compassionate, a lot of fun, and have a lot of energy. I lean towards living an physically active lifestyle. In addition I play guitar, keyboards, and harmonica. I have lots of friends and belong to a number of social clubs, but do not have anyone special in my life right now. That is why I have started to date again. I am a "friends first" kind of gal, and it would be awesome to find a best friend who is a guy, and romance kicked in.
Who I'd like to meet:
As a friend or activity buddy, it doesn't really matter, but as a sweetheart, I prefer men that are at least a couple inches taller than me. It just seems to workout better, especially on the dance floor. I also prefer men that think well of themselves, have respect for others, are not overweight, are NON-SMOKER, live an active lifestyle, can conjugate a verb and form a sentence with a complete thought, don't type in all caps, like to dance, and have a good job. I am financially secure and expect the same. Also, I prefer men who are initiators, have a life they love and want to share it, have a great sense of humor, and communicate with a positive spin on life. You get bonus points if you like to sail, are a musician, KNOW HOW TO TREAT A LADY (doors, flowers, eye contact, real dates, etc.), are a recovering Catholic like me, and/or like to TRAVEL abroad.

Thanks for the comment, Michelle. I appreciate it. Yes, the music has been coming together lately. I've got one piece of my life behind me and a hopeful new future that gives me a new reason to sing and write songs.

Take care,

Volkert

Wow, I get to be your first comment!

Beware, MySpace can be habit forming. Don't you ever, ever, let this space take the place of that nice Les Paul you've got in your photo! Ya hear???

I look forward to hearing you play, real soon.

I like the tune you've got posted up here.
