After 18 months of songwriting thrills, spills, chilled drinks and temperamental strange beautiful mentalist Shelley like waif and stray musicians baring their warm hearted souls at weekly music night ’Myspace or Yours’. The folks from SONGWRITERS ANONYMOUS are kickstarting a monthly residency at The Vibe Live with a showcase for the acts they’ve nominated for this years Indy Music Awards.
Smoke Feathers have been invited to play at the INDY Music Awards media launch and short list announcement party on Wednesday April 2nd 7pm at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden, London.
It’s no guarantee that we have been shortlisted for the final, but we hope it is a good sign....
hey sweetie, i did stay but was told to stop shooting so did get to see the whole thing...it was fun but to be honest i have seen them play much better gigs...for some odd reason, the show/atmosphere was a bit lacklustre. no worries, im sure everyone had a good time anyway! hope you are good hun x x

hi y'all..
got two last redbricks nights in november before the winter kicks in for real so try one of these out for one last look above ground before the hibernation begins...
our weekly monday run at the cedar room continues tonight with another impressive FREE line up that runs,
10.00 my summer as a a salvation soldier
9.15 dan clews
8.30 mary hepworth
lee gorton and friends will be playing records with the usual fine blend of fucked up folk and mellow psychedelia.
on thursday november 29th we've got our flagship 'down at the redbricks' night which has now established itself on the english maid, a boat on the thames, pretty much opposite the houses of parliament.
the venue's amazing and these gigs always feature our toughest redbricks line ups and this one's no different..
the moon music orchestra
the burning leaves
adam beattie
colorama
it's a fiver on the door, which is still a snip, but if you send us an email to theredbricks@hotmail.co.uk we'll put you and your friends on the £3.00 guest list.
hopefully see y'all soon..

A Year of songwriting thrills, spills and angst ridden bellyaches at weekly live music night 'MYSPACE OR YOURS' is celebrated with a night of Music and Comedy at SONGWRITERS ANONYMOUS 1st BIRTHDAY BASH
SATURDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 2007 In the JESTER BAR @ THE CROSS KINGS 126 York Way, N1 OAX 8pm until 2pm
RODDY McDEVITT, author of HUMANS SUCK takes to the mike to introduce the musical acts and pickpocket laughter from the punters.
howdy, here's what's coming up in the next month folks..
got the redbricks festival of folk on this sunday, 21st, at the amersham arms in new cross. the line up's changed a little as findlay brown has broke his leg, but i think the likes of pete molinari, the superimposers, john stammers, emma tricca, pete greenwood, luca and ain make for a pretty great FREE day out. starts abround 4, i heard a rumour about half price roasts too but don't quote me on it...
got this lot on for ya too..
the big bertha gig on the boat is a fiver but gimma shout if you want to get on the £3 guestlist.
cheers, the redbricks.. x
