About me: I'm originally from Kirtland, Ohio, but have been living in beautiful Santa Barbara for almost 10 years now. My degree is in Molecular Biology and I am a staff scientist at UC-Santa Barbara in the Neuroscience Research Institute where we study the molecular basis of Alzheimer's disease. This has been a busy year: Brent proposed (70 feet under water!!!)while we were scuba diving in Kauai in July 2006, we were married Nov 18 2006 at Rincon Beach Club, early December we got our puppy, Kayla....and then I got pregnant at the end of December.
Grant decided to arrive 8 weeks early, thanks to a kidney infection that I had....He spent 3.5 weeks in the NICU at SB Cottage Hospital learning how to eat and put on some weight...and we brought him home Saturday August 25th. Let the fun begin!!!!

HI First of all...I just checked my emails and I saw Grant!!!!! How freakin cute is he!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE is teeth..So cute! He is getting so big!!! Hey Girl...dress shopping went really good :) I think I found a dress but I feel like I should keep looking. Didnt think I would find something on the first day of looking!! And I am gonna try and keep it a secret and not tell anyone what the dress looks like :) I want it to be a surprise!!! See how long that lasts! Baby Grant is almost a year... where did all the time go? Wish we could come down at the end of the month to see you guys :( you start packing yet????????
