After suffering a loss in the spring of last year, Michelle took a year off but is back recording new music. MICHELLE CRUZ is a singer/songwriter who blends jazz, folk and rock in her music. Michelle is a solo artist and also a member of the band Vonrenzo. Michelle was asked to perform for her music hero, the late Jeff Buckley, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Fan Gathering and Tribute concert in Cleveland which proved to be a life changing experience. "It was a surreal experience being there. To be part of a celebration for someone who inspired you so much and to be thanked by his family, friends and fans was nothing short of amazing. I felt like I had to stop myself and ask if it was all really happening. He was the reason why I finally picked up a guitar. A dream come true." Named “Sultry” by the Jeff Buckley International Newsletter, Michelle has opened for the likes of folk legend Judy Collins and appeared on WXPN's World Cafe Live.
