Michelle Tompkins grew up in Nova Scotia, and has been in Montreal since 2002. She plays and sings with Intensifiyah, Victory Chimes, The Dames, Old Believer, and various other groups. She’s been composing and writing her own songs for the last 14 years. In 2004, she was nominated for Concordia University’s Oscar Peterson Award. In 2005, she was the recipient of the Couleur Jazz Award.
