Blurbs

About me:

I am a very generous, open-minded person who sometimes tends to get obsessed with whatever I get into.

About Michelle:
Since 1984, I have been operating REC Networks, which has been involved in various projects that entertain, inform and support our communities.

I love Japanese pop culture including a big dose of Japanese pop music and a small dose of anime (mainly the cute shoujo style). I love the uber-cute aspect of Japanese fashion including the red plaid school uniform look (which inspired my derby personna from 2007-2009), the elegant gothic lolita look as well as anything just downright cute.

I run Pure JPOP - J1, an online radio station that plays today's Japanese popular music. If you have not discovered this exciting genre, you should. Japan is the nation of many innovations, in technology and fashion. This is the music that drives that nation.

Who I'd like to meet:

Please note that I do not come to MySpace that often except when I know that I have something waiting for me. To view my blog, please visit:

I am always interested in meeting people who have common interests that I do.

Right now, I would like to make some friends. I may be 40, I feel like I am about 25. I think this is because I was pretty much denied my youth by my parents. I have very few friends who are as old or older than I am.

Since 2007, I have been covering the flat track roller derby scene here in Arizona. During this time, I had been to the bouts of four leagues here in Phoenix as well as traveled to Tucson and Las Vegas to cover the sport. I did a series of shows called the Arizona Derby Report, later to be called Michi-chan's REAL Derby, which were comprehensive 30+ minute shows covering the entire spectrum of the Arizona derby scene. A total of 8 episodes were done.

I was also the announcer for the now defunct Arizona Bruisers/Phoenix City Rollers. I was the former vice president of the Valley Fever Roller Demons (a league that still has not started). I served as an advisor to the Old School Derby Association (I can no longer support this organization) and I continue to serve as a resource to all leagues regarding the sensitive subject of transgender women and men in the sport.

Right now, I am just resting trying to figure out where my life is going next.

Right now, I have been very busy working on the other aspects of REC especially J1.

Remember, you can find me on Twitter at @michichan

I am still a derby lover and I hope you are too. Remember to skate hard, skate safe, derby love, Michi-chan.
