Growing up the oldest of three in a fully functioning, yet completely dysfuntional family in Texas set me up for one of two things; I could either become a sociopath or a comic. I chose comic. Now I play clubs/churches/obscure places all across the south. Check my calendar, I'm sure to be peddling my comedy wares somewhere near you soon.

Comedian Michelle Thomas's Interests
General
Cake. All kinds. Boston: The Band. The City. The Red Sox. Matt and I have made it a tradition to go to Boston and see a game at Fenway every year since we've gotten married; we plan on continuing the tradition as long as we can! (Here's hoping our kids like baseball!) Sugarland. UFC. (Matt Hughes, Anderson Silva are two of my favs) I can't live without my Dr. Pepper flavored Lip Smackers. I'm not a redneck, but I do have redneck tendencies. I LOVE Monster Trucks. I haven't missed a Monster Jam in 7 years. I can't pass a dollar store without going inside. I love Walmart. I'm a sucker for offbeat tourist attractions. (www.roadsideamerica.com) I'm addicted to trash mags, I don't read nearly as many books as I should and I watch E! like it's freaking CNN. There's more, but unless you're planning on buying me a present and need some ideas; there's no real point in mentioning anything else. (If you ARE planning on buying me something, email me and I'll gladly compile a list.)
Music
Movies
The Wizard of Oz, The Jetsons meet The Flintstones, Run Ronnie Run, Anchorman, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Dazed and Confused...oh, and this Backyard Wrestling VHS I have that makes me laugh so hard I almost barf.
Television
I think "The Office" is hands down, one of the funniest shows on television. RENO-911 and The Soup are close seconds...**DISCLAIMER**Considering I'm not a bed-ridden recluse with a house full of cats collecting diability checks because I'm too obese to work, the amount of television I watch is ridiculous...That being said, here are a few more of my faves: Rescue Me, Family Guy, King of Queens, DEADLIEST CATCH, Family Guy, Real Housewives of Atlanta, GLEE, Rules of Engagement, Man vs Wild, Wife Swap, SuperNanny, CSI (Vegas and NY-when they kill off David Caruso's character, I will be able to watch Miami) Criminal Minds, Most Evil...pretty much anything that has to do with serial killers, any and all of those "Where are they now?" type shows featuring celebrities you thought fell off the face of the earth... oh, and anything that has to do with monkeys...
Books
The Bible, all the Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary books, "The truth about poop" by Susan E. Goodman, "Knee Deep in Paradise" by Brett Butler
About me:
Started doing standup when I was 19. I'm not famous yet. I do however perform regularly, mostly for little to no pay, so I've got that going for me.
I have a breast cancer awareness fundraising organization called "Ha Ha's for Ta Ta's" and I have started my own breast cancer awareness campaign called "Save the Cupcakes"---you can find information on both by clicking on the Ha Ha's page, (it's the 1 spot on my friends list.)
Proceeds from my fundraising efforts go to benefit the Georgia based breast cancer organization Bikers Battling Breast Cancer. You can find out more about them here: www.bikersforboobs.org
Check my calendar for showtimes, chances are if you're in southeast I'll be peddling my comedy wares somewhere near you soon...if not, start a petition to bring me to town. Or just send me a bunch of money, that'd work too.
Who I'd like to meet: Jason Varitek, Bear Grylls, Joel McHale, Dr. Sue Johanson, David Letterman, John Krasinski, Jennifer Nettles, Matt Hughes, Mr. Johhny Cupcakes himself, all the folks over at Charm City Cakes, the inventor of Tivo and whoever spread the rumor in junior high that I was born a man...
I just was bouncing around on MS and saw your profile pic and decided to see what you are up to now. Wow, looks like you got a busy tour going. Awesome job!!! Keep up the good work and Happy Thanksgiving...
Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
