Michelle Will is a singer/songwriter from Vancouver, British Columbia. She has just released a 4 song EP entitled How It Feels. Classically trained on piano and raised with strong country and gospel influences, Michelle's songs weave memorable melodies with classic rock chord structures to create a sound reminiscent of acts like Jann Arden, Five For Fighting and Sarah McLachlan. Michelle draws on her own experiences to create lyrics that are both touching and intimate, played with powerful acoustic piano and guitar accompaniments.
In addition to her current solo project, Michelle has spent the last few years performing live with local musicians as a keyboard player and vocalist. Her music has been licensed for use in custom wedding photography DVDs and in health spa facilities. Michelle holds a Masters degree in Music Education.
Michelle is proud to be working with a group called SASS (School Alliance of Student Songwriters) that teaches kids the magic of songwriting. She is currently the Manager for the British Columbia chapter and in her spare time teaches songwriting at Garibaldi Secondary School in Maple Ridge, BC. She is also currently working on a full-length album of original songs, as well as expanding her composition experience to other media such as film and TV.
