An aisling:
In addition to being my youngest daughter's name, an aisling is a genre of poetry in the Irish language which Ireland is portrayed as a woman, lamenting the current state of the Irish nation and predicting a revival of their fortune. (See Wikipedia: Aisling.) One of the most famous examples of an aisling is the song Roisin Dubh, covered here by Flogging Molly:
