Best known to the world as Suddam Hussein's “last request”, The Michigan City Vandals have quickly become a favorite of dictators, worldwide.
“You can't pick your audience. It's just what happens when you sit down & write a song, you never know who its going to effect emotionally,” says Bassist and lead singer for MCV Miss Fortune. “We didn't set out to become the favorite band of sadist dictators; we just wanted to write music that was authentic.”
Regardless of who The Michigan City Vandals fans are and their "alleged" crimes against humanity, the band has seriously decided to take 100% of the profits from their new album “Our Own Little Slice of Hell,” and use it to build a Habitat for Humanity house in Benton Harbor, MI. slated for groundbreaking in 2008.
The Michigan City Vandals have opened for No Doubt, Garbage, My Chemical Romance, Fishbone, Incubus, Bowling for Soup, Good Charlotte, Hank III and They Might Be Giants.
'Where's tha Spot', a single produced and written by Chris Granger and co-written by Max Abrahms, is featured on the HBO series 'The Cathouse' and their song 'Party til tha Cops Come' is featured in the upcoming Cinema Concepts film 'Kathy T Gives Good Hoover'. (http://www.kathytgivesgoodhoover.com/index.html). The bands version of 'The End' featuring Jeff Coffin has been chosen for placement on The Doors tribute album.
'Our own little slice of Hell' was independently released on 11/03/07. Album downloads are available on www.michigancityvandals.com or if you would like to donate directly to the Habitat House click the donate button below.

Hey Julie! It was good playing with you guys the other nite. We'll do it again soon. Also, I do Banners and Posters and wanted to see if I could do some for you.
Its still the same band minus one. But we don't have a name yet. Last night we did a spin off of Queens of the Stone Age and called ourselves "The Mistresses of Fate" haha. just for fun. It went great. Although we had not played any shows in awhile, we really do practice a lot so we gave em a few new pieces we wrote and some Simon and Garfunkle.
Hey Hey right on I'll try and make it out to that. We've been in hibernation for a long time. Last night we played at The Livery for the first time since last August....which was the first time playing in general.
