Influences
A desire for more peace, love, music, and less environmental impact while gathering to celebrate these causes. Much love to all those who help make this happen and to all those who participate in the fest. Our festival embraces the LEAVE NO TRACE attitude in leaving our campsites nicer than when we arrived and taking care of our garbage, our earth, our grey water, keeping the peace with nature as well. This years festival will be spectacular. Sincere love and appreciation go to all who make it a community.
Sounds Like
The bands are from all over the mid-west and beyond and range from jam bands, to reggae, straightforward rock, to progressive, to freak show marching bands, to intelligent funk, to hip-hop,to ska-punk, to deep dance groove, to psychadelic, to good-time jamboree. The festival offers a unique and diverse group of music groups with a different approach than many festivals. The music is extraordinary, and if you don't believe me, come and find out. See you at the Willow Ranch dancin in 2009.

Hi Michigan Peace Fest, Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others.
This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace!
