Micit Recording Studio is the Private studio of producer/engineer Lawrence Tellez. Micit is a new breed of hybrid studios located in Lake Station, IN (about 30 minutes south of Chicago,IL). Our capabilities include tracking, mixing and mastering of your session. The rooms sound amazing and is a pleasure to work in. Bright and lively yet dark and comforting. Every artist who works in the room feels very comfortable to let the creative flow happen.
Our goal is to make every project, big or small, sound like a major label recording at a demo price. We have the ability to record, mix, and master a session for that same rate. If you are looking to be as cost effective and as time efficient as possible, while never sacrificing quality, there is no better studio than Micit Recording Studio.

Now a little about Lawrence Tellez. Lawrence has been working in the Music industry for more than 5 years. The studio is own by Lawrence, whose extensive list of credits include such bands as Chris Wallace and Send P of The White Tie Affair, A Perfect Gentlman, This Last Dance, David Costa, Tabitha Brown, and many more.

Preparation For Recording
-Send a simple recording of your songs, I'll use this to get a better sense of you.

-We can then schedule a chance to meet, discuss your vision, and work out your budget.

-Drummers play to a CLICK TRACK (Metronome).

-Have everything in your song worked out (drum parts, gutar parts, bass parts, lyrics. etc)

-Practice as much as possible! The more you practice, the tighter you'll play. The tighter you play, the quicker you will finish. The quicker you finish in the studio, the more time we'll have for the truly fun and artistic moments that make your album different... plus less time saves you money. Also, I have a tendency to push for that perfect take! You're know when I say "You got a better one!"

-Get your instruments setup. Guitars & Bass will run you around 60 dollars and buy new heads for your drums because I can't make badly worn heads sound fat or punchy.

-Get plenty of rest the nights before tracking begins (espeically vocals. Human Vocals sound best for a span of 6 hours after the person has been up for 3 hours)

-Being your gear the night before recording to set up, (So the day of recording we can just go at it).

-Show up with enough rest, a good attitude have a open mind and be open to suggestions and ready to roll tape.

Booking and Payment Policy
A 50% deposit is required for any dates booked. Make sure to clearly mark on each deposit which band it is from as well as contact info. We have received deposits in the past with no indication of who they came from - not fun. The deposit is due within 10 days of booking confirmation. The cancellation of dates will require a minimum of 4 days notice. If the session is cancelled with in less then 4 days the time and money will not be refunded.
