About me:
Most weeks I can be found playing, or enjoying acoustic music somewhere in the Exeter UK area.

My love of music started as a teenager with national service in Germany - a cheap guitar and harmonica, three chords, a few mates and the "Rock Island Skifflers" were up and rocking, albeit usually in regimental blues.
However I had a family to raise and a business to build, other priorities inevitably loomed and suddenly 40 years had passed. There I was with more time on my hands and no excuse for not returning to music.
I was encouraged by friends to become involved in the local folk scene and to write my own songs, I began regularly playing and singing as a solo performer, in a blues duo and in a folk rock band.
I was then asked to play harmonica on the Show of Hands 'Country life' album and the new CD by Mick Groves of the legendary Spinners.
I then had enough material for my own record and was delighted when the multi-talented Phil Beer offered to produce and record my songs.
The result was the well received album "Listen", I am currently recording new songs for a forthcoming Album in 2008.
Lately I have been entering compositions across the internet with my first success in the www.tuneflow.com song writing tournament for December 2006 and then went on to win another four tournaments during 2007. On April 8th 2007 I was very proud to be asked to appear with "Show of Hands" at the Royal Albert Hall in London. A truly marvellous concert and a great honour.
No time for putting on the carpet slippers and acting my age. Too many songs to write.
