Mickey Dee writes, mixes, produces, performs and records almost all his songs at Tha Boof and Kitchen Kutz Studios in Portland, OR. Contrary to most hip hop artists, he also composes all of his beats as well. Rarely using samples, he tries to stay as original as possible. Cuts such as "Like Thugs","Follower", "Parental Advisory","Sockback", "Never" and "Like Mike" are entirely original compositions, made by Mickey from scratch, using no samples, also a rarity for hip hop. Mickey Dee mostly does solo work, but is also part of the groups "The Party Police", "Tha Felonz", and "UnBranded". His biggest collaborators include Karess, T-Roi, Million, Yung Funess, and The Plot. Make sure you catch the Felonz album early 2008, and UnBranded's album summer of '08.

MICKEY'S BIOGRAPHY
Mickey Dee was born Michael Barr in June of 1990. He grew up a honkey, and stayed that way. But whoever said a honkey couldn't rap? Most people. That's why this honkey is out to prove you wrong.
Mickey Dee began rapping in 7th grade, when he got his first microphone and began playing with his voice. By 8th grade he was strumming power chords and singing with his band, The House Wives, at the Portland Art Museum. But a falling out with the band members made him give up working with others. He began relying on himself, and in doing that, he found rap music again. He made 3 CDs before finally revealing them to his friends, who then encouraged him to work his hardest to put out a new, more professional sounding CD. Now, The BarrCode emerges from the debri, the coldest thing since ice cream. November 6th, all this experience...all this talent...will prove one thing....honkeys can rap.
