Mick Hargreaves is a versatile journeyman bassist, vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter who plays well with others. He currently performs with The Blaggards, Libby Johnson (her next record, with Hargreaves on bass, due out in early 2009), Matty Liot & The Big Up (currently recording at the Think Tank, Sonic Youth’s facility in Hoboken, NJ) and Caroline Doctorow (currently touring in support of her “Another Country” CD).
On June 1 2009, the single “Bridget” was released, co-produced with Skip English, written by Gary Jude Anderson. A video for the song is due in late 2009.. In 1991, Hargreaves released his first solo outing, a 7-inch record, and in 2001, the full-length solo CD “Redemption Center" was released.
Mick is also co-host (w/ Caroline Doctorow) of The SONGTRAILS RADIO HOUR on WPKN 89.5 (Bridgeport CT) WPKM 88.7 (Montauk NY) the first Saturday of every month at 7pm.
Haunted, written by MH and recorded/released by the Grip Weeds on their 2007 CD “House of Vibes Revisited”, appears on the soundtrack of the feature film Blood River (2009), directed by Adam Mason (The Devil’s Chair).
