   About Mick Pealing
let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start.....born in Adelaide, South Australia 1955 to Norma Jean a local and John Douglas an English migrant from Liverpool. Was raised a Catholic with my three sisters Janny, Rosalie, Boot and my brother Jim. I grew up listening to my father's record collection, big band stuff, Ellington, Basie and singers of the time Torme, Bennett, Sinatra, Fitzgerald. Radio was always on, music was always present. Got a transister radio as a birthday/Christmas gift one year and started listening to the pop radio stations of the day which played a very eclectic mix of styles and genres. Bought my first record at the Adelaide market, it was a second hand copy of Elvis Presley's "I don't care if the sun don't shine" with "good rockin' tonite" on the flip side, I was hooked from that moment on.....

Thanks Mick, and I'm glad you liked the latest photos. I never imagined that I would one day be taking photos of you. I used to go out and buy all the Stars singles and albums when I was younger. Now you are an Australian Rock Legend. I had the car fixed on Monday morning after the rear coupling was hanging on with only one remaining bolt. Former Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser was right when he once said that Life Wasn't Mean't To Be Easy. I hope to continue doing the photos.

I had a look at the photos from the gig you did last night, but I have left my laptop somewhere so I can get the car fixed in the morning. I chose some of the better photos and will get back to them after the car is done.

Hey Mick, why do you have to wait for Liberation Blue to record the new album? Why can't you start immediately? It's easy. Get together a few musicians, including Brod Smith to do the harmonica solos, head down to Stream AV and see my friend Paul Rodger and start recording in the basement where Glenn Shorrock did his last album. I want to hear your version of Ocean Deep with you on lead vocal. Is money the problem? If so, how much do you need to record the album? Don't waste time because life is too short to wait on others working in record companies to decide your future.

thx for the comment.
yeah I have a herd lined up to come to the next one.
good comments 'day's on the road'
tragic stuff. I got a couple of the pealing wade young cd's and there's stars stuff on those and it's beautiful- but yeah kind a sad too (but then happy sad that they're kind of a tribute) I'm gonna go to one of the gigs where Stars is done...they're always so far away from me damn it!!

Hello again Mick. The Richard Clapton live gig was great. I got to go backstage with Ralph and the band after the show, and I memtion to Richard about how you sent me the comment, and Richard told me about Andy Durant. He mentioned how Andy lived with him at one time during the recording of the Dark Spaces album, and about how brave Andy was towards the end as well as how and when Andy wrote the song Ocean Deep. Well that's it from me, and Richard and I hope that Warren Costello at Liberation Blue records goes ahead and gives you the all clear for the acoustic album.

Thanks Mick, I'm just at the Melbourne Zoo right now for a special live gig by Richard Clapton. I already shot some great photos of Johnny Salerno when he came out to set up his drums. Thanks for the update on Andy Durant's songs. I sure miss Stars and Andy's music all these years. The lyrics of Ocean Deep sure sum up his courageous fight for life. Andy still lives in all of us through his music.
