About me: I should say, I was born and raised in New Orleans, or New A'lins as we say here, July 6th some years ago . The oldest of 6 (1 sister died an hr after birth). I was blessed to grow up in a warm and loving family, to have a carefree childhood and live in one of the most amazing cities in the world. Mom and Dad would throw us in the car in the evening, in our pj's and we'd go to the French Market, to Cafe Du Monde for beignets and cafe au lait, it's one of my fav' childhood memories. The French Quarter is by far my very favorite part of NOLA. To stroll through the Quarter, smell the food, hear the music, it literally comes to life. Then we hit Bourbon St. and party all night long. We NEVER CLOSE!
It's old world charm and characteristics, the St.Louis Cath. ( I'm Catholic and so is a huge part of New Orleans) stands like a beacon in the center of Jackson Square tall and protective over the city watching the Mississippi roll by. Next to it are The Presbytere (orig. a monastery for the priests,and the Cabildo, where the Louisiana Purchase was signed,it's now a museum and houses many artifacts, one of which is Napoleon's Death Mask). Yea' I am a proud NOLA girl, we have a joie de vivre , a joy for life, we live well, we love often and we laugh much. Even in the aftermath of Katrina, those of us who are in the deepest sense of the word New Orleanians, have stayed and re~built this landmark of America and rightfully so. She is one of the BEST places you will ever visit, we have the BEST food you will ever eat, and we are the most generous loving people and would take you into our homes, so I am NOLA, and she is me... we are a product of our environment and I have a deep pride and love for her. Brad and Angelina feel it, enough to have a home here and the anonymity to enjoy life virtually unencumbered by body guards and walk their kids to school alone, Angelina,Maddox and the dawg. Many have come and fallen in love with her, like Tennessee Williams who lived here, wrote many plays. The famous Streetcar named Desire while living in the French Quarter, he won a Pulitzer for that BTW. Amazing pieces of American Literature/Drama were brought to life here. Sorry for the ramble, but this is an intricate part of what makes me who I am, I love where I come from... come on down cher' and pass a good time. Laissez le bon temps roulez ! Let the good times roll!

Me... hmmmm I am a seeker of FUN, I live everyday since the death of my sister 11 yrs ago to not miss one single moment, not to let even one second pass me by unnoticed. I am on a journey here, we all are, and you can sit idly by and watch, or do as I am and jump into the fray with both feet and get some on ya! Life is so very short, it's passing by so quickly and I will NOT live with regret! Hate that I let an opportunity pass me by because I was afraid. I want to experience as many things as I can, take chances, step out of my comfort zones and taste life. The loss of my sister has given me so many things,perspective being the biggest. From her loss I know what's important and what's not. I've learned that what was a tragedy is now a blessing,a gift she left me with. I've gained wisdom and spirituality, I'm grabbing HUGE chunks of life and doing things I would not have dreamed of doing before, thinking it out of the realm of reality. We are submerged everyday in the reality of our lives,the daily monotony that sucks us in and makes you think you can't dream big. That's wrong, I AM A DREAMER, an ETERNAL OPTIMIST, I will ALWAYS believe that good will ALWAYS triumph over evil, and that fairy tales can come true.
The reality is that we're here today gone tomorrow, Life is to be LIVED, I am on a QUEST for FUN and LIFE and a fairytale dream while I'm at it. IT WILL BE MINE AND IT WILL BE FUN!!!
