.. Known for weaving their own web of psychedelia, rock and shoegaze, The Microdots create a soundscape of atmospheric melodies and powerful rhythms that have enraptured listeners of all kinds. With reverb-soaked guitar chiming over driving bass and drums, JD’s lyrics completely allure the audience into a sea of fantastical imagery. As some songs allow the listener to close their eyes and drift away, others grip with such intensity and seduction that you’ll immediately be persuaded into their dark woods. Since entering the Denver music scene in February 2010, the band has brought it’s captivating live show to some of the area’s best known venues including Hi-Dive, Larimer Lounge, Meadowlark, 3 Kings Tavern, Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom & Other Side, Herman’s Hideaway and The Crossroads Theater. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with numerous local and national acts including Yukon Blonde, The Paper Chase, Kiss Kiss, Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, Achille Lauro, Flashbulb Fires, Carbon Choir, John Common & Blinding Flashes of Light, 200 Million Years, Wire Faces, The Raven and the Writing Desk, WadiRum, Monroe Monroe, Old Radio, High Noon Sons, Patrick Park, and Ramaya Soskin, among many others. The Microdots continue to actively book shows and will be releasing their recently recorded full-length record in Spring 2011.
