Freak n'Chic is proud to launch micro-fibres. Marc Antona alongside Dan Ghenacia introduce a tech oriented sub-label. Spirit remains the same : upfront ! Music is moving to more toughness... to clubbing !
MF07
Marc Antona & Xiki
Hawah (EP)
Out Sept 2nd 2009
It’s been a few months since the last release from Micro-Fibres. But as they say, all good things are worth waiting for. After Italian outfit Re:Up took the lead on the previous release, it’s the turn of label boss Marc Antona to step up to the plate on. The French producer has always been at the sharp end of all things whirling. On this release however, Marc effortlessly and superbly mixes raw, organic sounds with his trademark electronic touch.
A Side 'Hawah' see's Marc team up with exciting young talent Xiki. Resident of Ibiza, Xiki surely brings some sunshine and party’s vibe to Hawah.Warm pulsating synth, and popping, housey bassline lead the way. As the synth develops, its power and intensity increase, whilst constantly wrapped in the lo slung comfort of the track's groove. Never peaking, yet full of drama, 'Hawah' is a sure fire hit for the summer floors and beyond.
On AA Side 'Kip Kop', Marc is flying solo. A stripped back, percussive masterpiece is the best description of this hypnotic workout. Funky stick work, polished hats and an ever- present chime, lead us to the crispest of snares. The faintest of guitar riffs and a whole bag of sounds, make this a really organic funk-fest.
Marc Antona, Xiki and Micro-Fibres deliver one of the freshest singles of the summer, and one we are certain is going to pick major support throughout 2009!

MF06 - Re-UP
We lost the Flight (EP)
STILL AVAILABLE
The prolific Italian music scene welcomes a new project signed by Leo & Omar Omv called Re-UP. Djs since over 10 years Leo and Omar used to be residents in some of the most underground parties of the north of Italy. They started composing in 2004 and moved to Barcelona in 2007. Named as OEL&Polygon, they reached Top positions in Charts with their 3 tracks “Instinto primario”, “Sexophonia” and “Dexter”. Today, the already tested duo is ready to come back under the name of Re-UP.
Re-UP is the result of the last five years working & melting some unmistakable housey touch with rhythms and sounds easily associable with techno genre, creating tension and producing undulations and dynamic through their music. Since 2007 they released on labels such as Uponyou, 4line, Ostwind and Regular, and collaborated with standing artists such as Mark henning, Exercise One, Marc Antona, Marco Ressman, Monoblock. The outcome is a smart, energetic and concrete style that makes people with a smile on their face and feet firmly on the floor! Their elegant style took them already to infamous Tresor / Berlin (DE), Freak n’Chic party @ Batofar / Paris (FR), N.E.M.O festival / Bruxelles (BE), Salafonica / Palma (ES)..
Five releases in, all from label boss Marc Antona, and it has come time to hand over proceedings to latest super talent out of Italy... Re-UP.
Italian duo Leo & Omar having DJ'd at some Italy's finest underground parties over the past ten years.. and in 2004 the pair finally stepped into the studio. After a move to Barcelona in 2007 and releasing as OEL & Polygon; their tracks 'Instinto Primario', 'Sexophonia' and 'Dexter' found huge support by a host of the DJ world's biggest names.
Now as Re-UP, the pair are pursuing a fresher, tension filled sound. Very much in evidence in this, their debut release on Micro-fibres.
A-Side 'We Lost The Fight' is a brooding beast. A deep, throbbing bassline at its core, the track weaves a taut path. With atmospheric breaks, and weird and wonderful effects placed with finesse throughout, it truly is a work or art. The alarm, and slap bass in the final break are placed to perfection.
B-Side 'Every Night' kicks things up a gear. Modern techno, with an injection of old-skool 'Jack', it skips along brilliantly. Spooky, background synth stabs, and wonderful vocal samples deliver us to the break. Here those stabs come to the fore, before the track slams us back to the floor with its rotund bassline. Evil stuff!
Rounding off the package is the digital only track 'Bistrack'. A superb bookend to this package, Bistrack takes traditional ethnic drums and melds them with rolling techie beats, to make for a fantastic DJ tool.
Check out Re-UP remix on the current Indigo Raw. Already getting major props
Support from Dubfire, Josh Wink, Buschwaka, Martin Eyerer, Marco Resmann, Valentino Kanzyani, Luciano, Alexkid, Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin, Monika Kruse, Pig & Dan, Marco Carola, Lee Burridge, Luca Bacchetti, DJ Hell, Hernan Cattaneo..
Marc Antona spreads successfully his unique sound across the world producing hits and performing live in the most famous clubs...
Year 2007, Marc Antona, alongside Dan Ghenacia, launched "micro-fibres" as a subdivision of Freak n’Chic more tech oriented. Nothing more than a few hits has already been produced through the new imprint among them “Save me”, “Sharks” (with Anthony Collins) or “Neurons”.. In addition Marc quickly adds signings at prestigious labels which sounds fit perfectly his universe.. He has released thus 2 more hits “One more sugar” on Mobilee and “Not a serious thing” on Sender records!
Matter of fact Marc has performed live at legendary Parisian clubs Batofar, Rex Club...As well as at We love – Space / Ibiza, Tenax / Firenze, Goa / Roma, Alter Ego / Verona, Panoramabar & Watergate / Berlin, Street Parade / Zurich, Fabric & Circoloco@The End / London, Goa @ Fabrik / Madrid, Barraca / Valencia, WMC 2008, Gorod / Moscow... to name but a few.. Dancefloors are claiming Marc Antona’s Name!

Productos BMM presents:
BMM 34 Mario Plaza Vocal Sense EP with the remixes of Luis Noic Genre: Techno.
Some comments: Carsten Rausch: I really like Mario Plaza - Vocal Sense. All Mixes are nice, but the Original Mix is my fav. Full support for that one! Dave James: Vocal sense is cool, hypnotic mix is my fave. Galuszka: The original starts chunky and gets funky, a nice groove. The remixes by Luis Noic take it minimal. The Hipnotic remix revisits some classic techno sounds, love it. The Reddman: The Vocal Sense Track was very smooth. It was one of those tracks that make you want to just stand in front of the speaker, close your eyes and let the music take you on a trip to somewhere deep within your own mind. M.O.D.E.: Luis Noic on vocal sense is great. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favourite mix is Luis Noic Hypnotic remix. Deep sounds with brilliant production. This spare tune has enough hooks to take you on a journey. Gets my support. Clic here to Listen & Buy in Beatport.
