Tim, Julie, Helen, and all the committee, thank you for the work you have put in again this year. Middlewich festival is the warmest and friendliest on the calendar. Our music stall was a success, and after the chaos of whether we could play the festival due to unforseen circumstances, that too went down well. The sky was still light when Peter Donegan's band finished their brilliant set, and my wife an I reluctantly left our solitary table at the beer tent, where we went to look at the now deserted space our guitars had occupied, before leaving the town for another year. (the saddest part)

Sunday sees sunshine forecast for the entire day as Little Johnny England headline the afternoon concert in the main marquee, with the evening finishing off with the Lonnie Donegan Band, featuring Pete Donegan. The Fringe, Morris and lots more continues apace.

Today it's Mabon headlining the afternoon concert, and Show of Hands finishing off the day in the evening concert, with some quality supporting acts throughout the day. Ideal to take your mind off the football! Not to forget the Real Ale Bar, lots of stalls, food, a great free fringe throughout the town, and Morris dancing all day.

Middlewich Folk And Boat
The Festival kicks off tonight on the main stage with The London Philharmonic Skiffle Orchestra, supported by Stan's Magic Foot. And there's plenty of music on the fringe at most of the participating pubs.

Only a couple of days to go before the Festival kicks off now, and everything's falling into place nicely. Tickets to most of the gigs in the main marquee (it's big!) will still be available at the weekend, so if you haven't made your mind up about coming yet, it isn't too late. And there will be lots of free stuff going on, with quality gigs on the fringe in most of the local pubs, and Morris Dancers popping up all over.

I'd just like to say thanks to (in no particular order) all the visitors, performers, stallholders, boaters, fringe venues, stewards and sponsors.
And a special thank-you from me to the rest of the Festival Committee for working so hard (in their spare time and for nothing) and being such good friends. Without the team the Festival would never happen, and then where would the rest of you be?
As it is, thanks for your support and we'll see you all next year on the 17th, 18th and 19th of June.
