I'm a bit of a foodie. I like to try new things, as long as they follow a fee simple rules:
1. No sugary meats or veggies. This leaves out sweet n sour pork, but for some reason BBQ is exempt. Except for that molasses kind. Blech. Basically main dish and dessert shouldn't mix.
2. NO SWIMMIES! No fish EVER. Hate it. It's GROSS. I think I might actually have a low level allergy, so don't even think of offering any to me to "just try it - you might like this type". I won't, and it will just annoy me. Ask my husband about Peach Beer sometime...
3. NO liver or organ meats. Just bleagh. 'Nuff said.
That's about it. Other than that I like 'most anything. But I gotta say, the jury is still out on this stuff that I just tried:

It tastes a little bit like cucumber melon soda...kinda weird, but kinda refreshing. Anybody else tried it?
What's the last weird thing YOU tried? Did it taste completely different from what it was advertised as??

Love sweet meat, hate seafood, hate gut meat, hate tea of any kind.
But Taco Doritos are back! (Been having foodgasms all week.)
Well, now I know why I am a veggie eater pure and simple. When we lived in Germany, 268 yrs ago, I used to eat cow brains at least once a week.
I still shudder.
Yes, it was interesting. Still haven't decided if we should get it again. Maybe if Canada Dry stuff goes on sale next week...
But come to think of it, it's been a really long time since we tried anything weird (before this, I mean). I think it was the "guess the flavor" Doritos we had one weekend.
We might have to get it again, just to come to a final verdict if it was good or too weird to be fun. :D
I think you're right about those Doritos...although, now Monkey Bread takes its title...
I havn't tried this soda yet, but have heard good things.
Last off canned beverage I tried was Gunpower Green Iced tea. I had read about Gunpowder green tea and was curious about it. Many canned teas (especially green ones) tend to taste more metalic than tea-like, but I couldn't resist the pirate on the can!
It was yummy in an odd way. Since we bought a tin of gunpowder tea to brew at home and it tasted similar to the canned so I'm guessing the odd flavor is due to the tea and not the fact that it is canned. It has an almost smokey taste...which is VERY different from other green teas I have tried.
Oh, and from this end, you DO have that little button on your blog that you were talking about. Maybe only the reader can see it? Not sure.
Octupus. And it tasted just like I thought it would.
