Midge Potts (aka Maioan Person) originates from the Missouri Ozarks and has also spent a lot of time in Washington DC the last couple years... in between she has played shows here and there and everywhere.
She writes songs to empower people. In the early days alot of her songs were aimed toward personal empowerment and now many are aimed toward educationing people on issues such as militarism, globalization, diversity, and herbal medicine among other things.
Midge is not just a musician, but also an activist who commits herSelf to helping organize demonstrations, rallies and protests wherever and whenever she can.
In February of 2005 Midge was arrested protesting against torture on the Supreme Court steps with Dave Barrows and Pete Perry and was arrested again on the White House sidewalk with over 300 anti-war activists including Cindy Sheehan on September 26th 2005. She has also taken her activism to extreme levels in the form of many vigils at the White house and several peace walks.
She has 3 complete albums: Begin Creation (2001), America Incorporated (2005) and The Virtues of Diversity (2006)... 2 mini-albums: W Is For WAR (2003), Truth At The Heart (2004)... and has had a couple songs on compiliation CD's by 3000 Records with nation wide distribution and airplay.
Midge has played at several large festivals including the Million Marijuana March on the steps of the capitol building in Jefferson City Missouri 2003, Pride In The Park in Springfield Missouri (2003), Cannabis Liberation Day at MU campus in Columbia Missouri (2004), DC Anti-War Network's inaugural rally at McPherson Square in DC (Jan 20th 2005), Mobilization For Global Jusitce's World Bank rally's at Dupont Circle (April 16th 2005 and September 24th, 2005), Camp Casey (August 2006), People's State of Union protest at the US Capitol (January 2007). She has also played at many coffee houses, info shops, house shows and a few bars, as well as street corners across the USA.

“Viva Palestina” will be an epic journey from London to Palestine.
Hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets over the past few weeks to protest at the slaughter of innocent men, women and children in Palestine.
A convoy of aid and essential supplies will leave London on February 14th a valentine for Palestine; to commemorate this fantastic initiative of people power, an album “Viva palestina” will be produced to add to the financial support.

More than half a million veterans and active soldiers suffer from PTSD, and their path towards restoration and recovery will be extremely difficult and one that I'm extremely familiar with. After coming back from Vietnam in 1970, I spent the past 30 years on an oftentimes rocky journey to restoration from PTSD.
As a director, writer and actor, I created the film Soldier's Heart, the winner of this year's GI Film Festival, as a way to help myself and other veterans begin their healing process.
Our hope is that Soldier’s Heart will help those who are currently touched by PTSD or have loved ones who are impacted, gain some insight into finding their own restoration.
