Midleft got infected with the vinyl-virus at the age of sixteen. Spending a lot of time in London at that age (mid nineties), he strolled from one second-handshop to another and there the offspring to his collection took place. That was in fact the point of no return.
In search of his own style, he tried some different approaches under some different monikers, but keeping track of all those genres got too expensive and Mid was forced to choose on which one he would focus into the future. Hiphop, funk and soul was the kinda music he loved to spin AND listen to on his own, so they provided a greater worth than the others.
And there you have it: the name became Midleft, he enrolled the Jungle Tactics crew and took off on a fresh journey. Playing at local and self-organised parties lead him to a residency on the Flow&Flavour Sessions and the One Love Parties, both by United Stylez.
He supported and played alongside dj Suv (Full Cycle/uk), Kid Koala (Ninja Tune/can), Rahzel (The Roots/us), Solid Steel Sessions ft. Sparky, DK & Ollie Teeba/The Herbaliser (Ninja Tune/uk),...
At this moment he enjoys support of some of Belgium's most skilled hiphop dj's like Lefto (DeHop/StuBru/B9000/Blue Note), J to the C (Grazzhoppa's DJ BigBand), Swordz (IFC 4ce/Hit The Decks Champ),... Furthermore he played all around the country from little venues to the famous Culture Club (Ghent) and keeps on doin' so.
Besides all that, he co-ops with peepz like Poetry Slammer J-Kast, producers Serious & X-Savia,Mc's Wolfface & D.O.C., ...

DJ's Lil'Vic en Danny de Funk brengen op zaterdag 28 november vanuit de hoofdstedelijke dansgelegenheid Bitterzoet een ode aan de stad waar alles plat is, behalve de tieten. Niemand minder dan Cocaine Cowboys Willie Wartaal en Bas Bron begeleiden de heren met een gebalanceerde mix van smakeloosheid, platvloerse geilheid, ordinaire mensen, mint-groene huizen en een gezonde dosis Maybach Music.
