Midnight Curfew: MC is the gathering of 4 young crazy working guys coming from different paths, and having different life styles and taste of music. Originated in Bangkok, Thailand, they have crossed the world and finally unexpectedly astonishingly met at the point of self reflection. Arising from the urban way of life and ordinary full-time jobs, they got obsessed by music after working hours until midnight burnt by the madness of their passion and sucked down by the whirlpool of music in the Bear Cave. Before they know themselves, the crisis has come. They just realize that it is midnight, and they have to go home and get some sleep to be ready for their routine jobs in the morning! Life really that sucks and just simply circulates from Monday to Monday? Their chaotic differences and passion finally struggle out of the Bear Cave and blend into one piece of undefined music.

The History of Midnight Curfew: MC

The History:
It started with…one thing I don’t know why…
Part I: The Beginning of the Universe
It’s all started in Bangkok, Thailand. THE, Joe and Ruj have known each others since they were 5 years old. With some friends, they started a band at age of 14 years old. Rehearsing on Friday night at school building, they had to fight with security guard who chased them out to go home. As young boys who had a dream and musical passion, they joined Nescafe, Pepsi, and any other music competitions with no success…while Pk was still playing Mario and didn’t even know the difference between bass and guitar.
Finally, the band splitted. Then, Ruj, the bassist went to Berklee, USA… Good for him.
Part II: The High School Chaos
THE got kicked out from that junior high school. Desperately, he went to vocational school and got kicked out again. Thus, he started his new life in Miami, USA, where he met Peake Perception afterward.
Joe went to Trium Udom Suksa school where he met sound engineer and mixer of this first album, Pete Blissonic.
Pete had a band called LEO with his friends. Joe wanted to join them, but they already had 2 guitarists. So, Joe desparately sadly played by himself alone in the darkness at home with tears.
Pong was a friend of this LEO band. Joe knew Pong since then. Actually, they didn’t really know each other; they just knew each other’s names.
Peake was studying happily at Thewphaingarm school and lived like normal young boy. With some classmates, he established a band named Circle and started slamming his first bass guitar. Many hours a day he practiced and was consumed by the 80’s Heavy Metal music with the bands like Skid Row, Guns ‘n Roses, Metallica and Megadeth until the time of his entrance exam at grade 11.
Part III: The leap – College Life: the Pursue of Something
This group of people; separately, Joe, Pong, Pk, Pete, LEO band, and their friends, got to ABAC (Assumption University). Nobody passed the entrance examination. What the clever young boys! (Pk said “I was the only one in the group who passed the entrance exam to the College of Engineering at ABAC because it was included in the entrance exam that year”).
One day with some problems not want to mention here, Pete decided to go to Berklee, USA, where he met Ruj: Joe's ex-bassist for the first time (Remember Ruj the Bear? If not, go to Part I). Joe finally joined the band LEO as a replacement of Pete as he had been wishing for a long time. It was lucky for Pete that he left or Joe would poison him to get the LEO’s guitarist position. Quite successful from Coke music award, performing in the final 5 bands from all over the country, LEO won the 5th prize…the last one, Stupid!!!
Joe and Peake knew each other at ABAC (Well, they just knew each other’s names as usual). Playing in a different band, they didn’t quite like each other. Peake, playing with Kasem in the band named Perception, might get a bit upset because LEO always won the ABAC music award. (Pk said “I played just for fun” as the excuse!). In the mean time, Pk also played with another band called Fossil playing purely aggressively Heavy Metal, Thrash and Speed Metal cover songs at Metal Zone pub. At the same time, Pk and Kasem were also working on the first album of Perception.
For some reasons, Peake left ABAC to Miami, where he met THE (remember? If not, go up and read Part I. {Pk said “I’ve never wanted to study Electrical Engineering!!! I wanted to be Architect or Civil Engineer!!!”}) He let Perception to go on and introduced his junior bass player, Beam, who became the establisher and bassist of Siam Secret Service later on, to be the new Perception bass player with his junior vocalist (Pun, the male singer of Perception).
Pong and Joe still hung out and got drunk sometimes, talking about music when they got fluckling drunk and all their friends went back home already at mostly 6 or 7 am in the morning. Nothing happened. They both went back to their caves and forgot about what they said.
LEO almost got a chance to release their first album with Genie Record. It failed for some reasons they didn't want to talk about. Pong came to the picture of LEO, being a front man. Again, for some reasons, it didn't happen. Stupid again!
In Florida, THE, living in Miami and studying Art, was playing with the Thai band called US1 at Ft. Lauderdale without bass player. By introducing of some friends, Pk who was studying at University of Miami down South in Structural/Civil Engineering Faculty met THE for the first time at a Thai Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, and he joined the band. From then, they hung around playing music in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area and became well-known.
Then, time flies like the pendulum swings...
Part IV: Life after Death – The circulation and Arise of MC
All people mentioned above finished their educations; Undergrad or Grad, depending on their intelligences. Then, they started working as ordinary decent people struggling to survive in this cruel big city of Bangkok.
Pong tried to become an actor. He played in couple of La-Korn TVs (Soap Operas) after the daily evening news. Not sure why he quitted. May be he had to play a character that was totally different from who he was (Ask him!!!).
Peake came back to Thailand after finishing his master around 2 years before THE. They didn’t contact each others since Pk left Miami. Pk entered Petrochemical and Oil&Gas Industries became a Structural/Civil Engineer. In the mean time, he reunited with Kasem and restarted the band Perception again. Perception has released several albums until now. THE became an Artist and Art Teacher as well as working on his art and textile art projects.
Ruj and Pete also came back to Thailand after their graduations, and started their music careers as they were educated to be. Ruj the Bear had his own big well-equipped studio and became a Recording Engineer. Also, he played bass for various artists and bands including some orchestral bands as being a Jazz maniac. Pete also had his small recoding and mixing studio, and established the band named Blissonic as people knew him well since then.
Joe, THE, Ruj and Pete brokebackedly reunited again. Bored from work, Joe asked THE for musical jamming and rehearsal at THE's place with his old band mates instead of just drinking (Go up and read if you forgot)… (Pk said you should not forget because you are not a golden fish!!!). THE had to play bass since their bassist (Ruj the Bear) didn't want to play with them any more. Remember? He has a Berklee degree. He was supposed to have better life! Besides, they picked up the old LEO’s drummer to play with them.
After rehearsing for awhile, the band's singer got a fight with THE and left this circle of friend forever. Ask THE for the reasons. THE had to play bass and also sing. What a shame! Joe was tired with THE's ability to play bass (of course, he was not a bass player!), so he asked him to call Peake to play with them. By that time with few albums with Perception and some jams with Metal Farm project, Pk was bored and was seeking for something new while his old hi-speed Metal guitarist joined the underground Death band called Nerve… He accepted unthinkingly (he didn’t even remember Joe; they hated each other, remember?), then, a lot better sound ever since. Joe sometimes still drank with Pong, telling him to join this weekend rehearsal. Joe was also tired THE's ability to sing. Thus, THE became guitarist again.
Midnight Curfew was started at this moment.
Rehearse and rehearse during weekend for a year on someone else’s songs until their passion burnt out and they wanted to have their own music. They started gathering their songs in stock from each of the crew and blended them together to get the original demo from the rehearsal.
Start working in the Bear Cave studio of their ex-bassist, Ruj the Bear (that Berklee graduate), they spent a lot of time there struggling for their music after their full-time jobs on working days and during the weekend. Burning with their mad passion, getting tired and went home at midnight to be ready for their routine works in the next day. In the middle of nowhere, the drummer left the band due to his personal reason. So Midnight Curfew had only 4 people left. Hoping that they will stick together until the album is finished. In this crisis, Ake, Mr.Team’s drummer came up temporarily to save lives for studio drum recording… Ah, we are still alive! The operation finding drummer is still going on!!! Pete Blissonic came to help with recording, mixing and mastering. Finally, the album should be released soon! (I hope… By the time this history is being written, 6 songs were done… But I don’t know if tomorrow’d never come…)
In the end…
What a stupid story of Midnight Curfew!!! What a fate and circle of destiny!!! Or it's a curse!!!???
It was so fcuking hard to find a band name we like. We had tried many names and came up with the first one "Blend". It was the first fcuked up that it was already taken (and it was also a name of a whisky). Then, we came up again with "Midnight Crisis", and it was the second time we showed the world how stupid we were. It was also taken by a band releasing the single with RS Promotion several years ago. We said "Woww! we are in trouble again after a long and cruel bloody fight upon the coming up of the band's name". So we took the last chance and change the name to Midnight Curfew: MC

Midnight Curfew เกิดจากการรวมตัวกันของกลุ่มคนผู้รักในดนตรี ซึ่งแต่ละคนมีเส้นทางความเป็นมาที่แตกต่างกัน แต่ในที่สุดได้มาพบกันใน Circle of Friends โดยการผูกโยงของโชคชะตาและเส้นสายแห่งดนตรี
ต่อมา เดอะและรุจมีอันต้องไปศึกษาต่อยังสหรัฐอเมริกา จึงทำให้วงดนตรีของพวกเขาได้สิ้นสุดลง รุจได้ไปศึกษายัง Berklee และเดอะได้ไปที่ Miami ที่ซึ่งเขาจะได้พบกับมือเบสของเขา
ขณะที่คนอื่นๆยังอยู่กรุงเทพ โจได้พบกับพีทระหว่างที่ศึกษาอยู่ชั้นมัธยมปลายซึ่งได้ตั้งวงดนตรีชื่อ Leo มาก่อนแล้วแต่โจไม่ได้เข้าร่วมด้วยเพราะไม่มีตำแหน่งว่าง ในตอนนั้นเองที่โจได้รู้จักกับโป้งซึ่งเป็นเพื่อนของสมาชิกวง Leo แต่ก็เพียงแค่ผิวเผิน ส่วนพีเคก็ใช้ชีวิตนักเรียนมัธยมทั่วไปแต่ก็ได้รวมตัวกับเพื่อนมัธยมปลายตั้งวงดนตรีขึ้นเช่นกันแต่ก็ไม่ได้จริงจังอะไรโดยได้ตำแหน่งมือเบสด้วยความไม่ตั้งใจเพราะไม่มีใครเล่น
จากนั้นทุกคนก็ย่างก้าวเข้าสู่รั้วมหาวิทยาลัย พีทได้ไปศึกษายัง Berklee ที่ซึ่งเขาได้พบกับรุจ ส่วนโจได้เข้าร่วมกับวง Leo สมใจแทนที่พีทซึ่งภายหลัง Leo ได้ประสบความสำเร็จในการประกวด Coke Music Award ระดับประเทศ ที่มหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญ โจและพีเคได้พบกันแต่ไม่ค่อยลงรอยกันเพราะเล่นกันคนละวง พีเคเข้าร่วมกับวงดนตรี Perception โดยการชักชวนของเกษมที่มหาวิทยาลัย และได้เริ่มเข้าสู่ดนตรีอาชีพอย่างจริงจังโดยเล่นแนว Heavy Metal กับวง Fossil ที่ Metal Zone ในขณะเดียวกัน Perception ก็เริ่มทำงานเพลงชุดแรกของพวกเขา ต่อมาพีเคต้องไปศึกษาต่อยังสหรัฐอเมริกาโดยได้ฝากวง Perception ไว้กับมือเบสรุ่นน้อง (บีม Siam Secret Service และ Knock the Knock ในปัจจุบัน) ให้ช่วยสานต่อ พีเคก็ได้เจอกับเดอะที่ Miami และได้ตั้งวงดนตรีกันที่นั่นโดยที่ต่างคนก็ไม่รู้ว่ารู้จักกับโจทั้งคู่ ส่วนโจยังคงพยายามผลักดันงานชุดแรกของ Leo โดยมีโป้งเป็นนักร้องนำภายใต้สังกัด Genie Records แต่สุดท้ายเป็นอันต้องล้มเลิกไป โจได้ไปศึกษาต่อที่สหรัฐอเมริกาแต่ก็ไม่ได้มีโอกาสไดเจอกับทั้งเดอะและพีเคเพราะอยู่กันคนละที่
หลังจากที่ทุกคนเรียนจบตามที่ได้ตั้งใจไว้ โป้งได้หันมาจับงานด้านการแสดงและเบื้องหลังพร้อมทั้งทำธุรกิจส่วนตัว โจก็กลับมาทำงานทางสายการตลาด พีเคกลับมาเป็นวิศวกร พีทกับรุจกลับมาทำงานด้านดนตรีสุดท้ายเดอะก็กลับมาเป็นอาจารย์สอนศิลปะ แม้จะมีหน้าที่การงานต้องรับผิดชอบเพื่อเลี้ยงชีพเหมือนคนทั่วไปแต่ทุกคนก็ยังคงทำในสิ่งที่ตนรัก โจยังคงเล่นดนตรี back up ให้ศิลปินต่างๆ พีเคเล่นกับ Perception และอดีตสมาชิกวง Fossil ส่วนเดอะยังคงแต่งเพลงเก็บไว้เรื่อยๆ
