About me:

We are Midnight Madness, friends to the friendless and enemies of convention. Purveyors of bad ideas and deviant behavior. We proudly present the longest running midnight movie, with traditional shadow casting... The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

We are the longest running Chicago area Rocky Horror Picture Show cast, presenting Rocky Horror for 21 years in Chicago and it's suburbs. We are a collection of punks and misfits here to entertain you and welcome you into something bigger than you can imagine. We are here to welcome you to absolute pleasure.

We have performed in the past at such theaters as the 400/Village North, the Evanston, Fine Arts Theater and the Century Theater. We currently present Rocky Horror at the historic Music Box Theater (Chicago's premiere art house) and the Wilmette Theater in Wilmette Illinois. Two of the finest movie theaters we've had the pleasure to perform in. Please support these businesses beyond Rocky Horror.

My friends (and you all are our friends), come run away with the circus. Come to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We won't take "no" for an answer.

Fun Stuff:

Mostly because I haven't added anything in a while, here's our kick line from 4/27/07. Just an idea of what we do when you come see us perform.
You wouldn't believe how hard it is for most people to truly understand what we do. "So you perform the movie, while the movie is playing?" Yeah, you wouldn't expect that to be a hard concept to grasp, but apparently it is! So check it out!


Back in 1999, some Northwestern University students started a documentary project on Midnight Madness. We think it's pretty hilarious that it was about "Rocky Horror: A Dying Subculture," but it's done very well. Here it is.





In 1989, Midnight Madness threw a convention here in Chicago at the 400 Theatre (now known as the Village North) and we invited Richard O'Brien to come and be the guest of honor. At this convention, he debuted the Transylvanian Oath and Anthem. The one you hear at the beginning of every Midnight Madness show and at the beginning of Rocky shows all over the world. That's right, it all started here, in Chicago with Midnight Madness. We are proud to bring you that moment in Rocky history here on Myspace. Enjoy!
