Sounds Like"The Milford-based band offers a lot of depth and subtlety to the songs on its 2006 LP. Stacey Scerbo offers up solid vocals." -Hippo Press, May 4-14, 2008

" The first thing that struck me when I listened to Beautiful Pearl was its rich full sound. Stacey Scerbo's vocals are gritty and work well with the rock-based songs. They have a Pat Benatar meets Ann Wilson (Heart) tone to them. Silvio Giarratana knows how to handle a guitar, from wailing hard rock to Texas blues riffs he makes it sing with joy with each new chord he hits." "For a debut release, this band really has all of their cards in order and comes out of the starting gate at full speed. I'm sure that we'll be hearing a lot more from them now and well into the future." -C.W. Ross, Senior Writer, Indie Music Stop

" 'Comfort Me' shows Midnight as a band that is tremendously influenced by the deep-down blues of a Kenny Wayne Shepherd and the progressive rock of a Rush.....Their "Beautiful Pearl" will find its way into my CD player for months to come". -NeuFutur Magazine To read full review on the online version of their magazine: neufutur.com

"What I like most is the synergy of the band. Their performance has an emotion to it. Energy is always good, but to connect with a listener beyond just the good beats and vocals is a challenge for a lot of bands. Midnight Falling as a band does not have this issue at all." -Urban Mainstream Magazine

" ..a powerful collection of songs exploring the light and dark sides of life." -The Muses Muse

"I gotta say that their live show must be insane. Two of them, and one does all instruments? What's this guy got, fifty arms? Sh*t! It's got a heavy, blues sound to it. A "Bon Jovi Wanted Dead or Alive" sound to it. After this album though, they plan on all rhythmic, and rock edges. Look the f*ck out." -TLChicken

HOT OFF THE PRESSES: Midnight Falling in Hippo Press

BEFORE WE GET INTO ABOUT US - If you're a keyboardist, (or even better, a keyboardist who doubles on guitar (!) ), looking to get into a smokin' pro band in the New England area, and into progressive/ambient/metal/fusion ala Rick Wright, Jordan Rudess, Jens Johansen, Tuomas Holopainen, Rick Wakeman, Jonathan Cain, Mark Kelly, Mats Olausson, and/or Reese Wynans - Message us so we can set up a jam!

=============================================

CHECK OUT OUR NEW DRUMMER, KEVIN!

Midnight Falling is a cutting-edge ambient progressive rock act based in New England.

Midnight was founded in March 2003 by producer/musician Silvio Giarratana and vocalist/lyricist Stacey Scerbo. They were joined by drummer Kevin Therrien in March 2008. "Their disarmingly direct style is rooted in rock and blues, telling stories reflecting both the lighter and darker sides of life. Blending Silvio's multi-instrumental prowess, Stacey's soaring vocals, and Kevin's powerfully dynamic drums, they create songs that resonate deep into your soul.

Their musical secret: Our best music is made only when we are all wearing black, and most often at Midnight.

*** ATTENTION: HAVING SIGNED UP WITH NEW MANAGEMENT WE ARE NOW AUDITIONING KEYBOARDISTS. PLEASE MESSAGE US AND FORWARD US YOUR DEMOS IF INTERESTED! ***

SILVIO is a seasoned pro of international acclaim, with experience in many aspects of the music industry, including as a live and studio musician (guitar, bass, vocals, percussion, MIDI), as well as composer/arranger, engineer, producer/music director and equipment tech. He also owns a project studio, sound company and rehearsal space, complete with state of the art equipment, software and peripherals. Well versed in many styles, Silvio has the versatility to play many genres of music and has performed from the time he first picked up a guitar at age 3. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he currently lives in southern New Hampshire.

STACEY has been singing since she was a child. Her first original song was composed on a plastic recorder in 3rd grade, with her first public performance at age 7. She continued to hone her vocal skills, studying voice at the renowned Jeannie Deva Voice Studios in Boston. Her style is a unique vocal mix of technical proficiency with passionate emotion and projection. She is equally at ease singing to live audiences and in recording studios, performing contemporary rock, pop and rhythm & blues. Born and raised in Long Island, NY, she is currently residing in southern New Hampshire.

KEVIN was born and raised in New England and has had a passion for drums since childhood. He started banging on his Father’s kit when he was 12-years old. Since then, he acquired different tastes in music, beginning with grunge and alternative and slowly drifted into metal and fusion styles. Percussion was a mystery until his early college years when he was introduced to Djembes. This helped establish more skillful tribal and polyrhythms that he incorporates into some of his technique. After college, he joined numerous rock and metal bands. He found a new influence in Japanese metal from a former bassist, which provides challenges in time signatures, speed and double bass technique. Kevin is always trying to find new challenges and is driven to improve his level of skill. He tries to go above a beyond what is expected from a drummer, such as using his voice to sing, beat-box and skat. He joined Midnight Falling in March 2008 to finally put his capabilities to use.
