The Band Parents
And others we may have missed.
Midtown Wave is a new band in Indianapolis. We first met in February 2007 at a weekly jam session held at Middleton Music. We really clicked and decided to form the band, Midtown Wave. By September, the band had grown from four to six, and started playing around town. Now, a year later, we've added a tight horn section, another keyboardist, and a guitar player. We range in ages from 13-18, and we come from a number of different middle/high schools, including Avon, Brownsburg, Ben Davis, and University HS. With songs that move and a sound that grooves, Midtown Wave is dedicated to keeping Jazz alive as a music genre for the next generation.
I know, I'm sorry Nigel. I realized around 5:30 that it was today. So, I went to ask my dad because you said you were playing for like 3 hours, but he said it was too cold and rainy and I'm not over my cold yet. Hopefully the next one, in June right? ... Will be warm and I'll be better, and I'm definitey coming!!
omgsh. i heard you guys played really good. even w/o two of your umm band people cough. anyways. sorry i couldnt see you tonight. hopefully next time i wont be so groundidish :[
Nigel and the gang... Hope you all come out to see me soon. Check out the list of gigs on my page. Are you all doing "Breakfast Epiphany" still? I need to get those chords to Nigel (aaaah) - as always, you kids sound great!
Rock the house yall! hehe Just stopping by to grace your page and see what's crackin' with the Midtown Wave! Did I see correctly that you guys have a new guitarist? sweet! Hit me back and let me know what you guys think of my new song "ya Like It"!
basically... i was getting something out of the trunk...and i moved the saxes to the side so that part of the ends (with the handles) were hanging slightly off the edge...and this guy took them and ran, and my mom and i looked for him for 30 minutes, and we couldnt find him, it was a busy street and there were tons of cars...this sucks...
