The Midwest Panther All Star staff strives to provide a quality program with a positive atmosphere in which each athlete has the ability to build character, gain self confidence and reach new heights in personal achievements through cheerleading.
We will provide a program that will ensure the physical and emotional health of all our athletes by teaching the value of loyalty, hard work, self worth and commitment.
We dont all do cheerleading as a just a fun activity, but our lives would be totally different without it. We live for every part of it. We live for the team parties, running through the halls at comps., random pictures of our memories, and the strangers who became family. We wouldnt be anything without the tape, knee/ankle braces, and advil. We love our stupid ways we get ready in the morning listening to our music singing and marking the routine. We love how most of our weekends are spent in arenas, convention centers, and high school gyms. We live for all the hairspray, pounds of glitter, pins, spring floors, and clips. We love walking into warm ups hearing other teams and other coaches screaming 5-6-7-8! We live for the way when we stunt and tumble in warm ups, We live for seeing the fear in another teams eyes when they tell us, Good luck! when we walk past them. We love that when we step through those curtains, we see in our fans sections other teams who came to cheer us on. We hate the rush of nervousness while youre waiting on deck, but lovee when you burst onto the floor like you own it. We live for giving it all on the floor and dancing with the stupidist facial expressions on because you have to sell your routine. We live for squeezing peoples hands when they get to our division in awards, and when we jump up when they announce another team as second. We live for the friends, the fans, the rivals, the judges, the competitions. We live for it all.
i miss midwest! i love you guys! they're right. it's so different without cheer in your life. i feel like it's still part of me. midwest scarred me...in a good way (and literally of course knowing me) and cheerleading has become a big part of my life ever since. i miss all the things they talk about and the nervous break downs and the coaches and the team and the routine and the mom getting angry with the grumpy us in the morning. i miss it all. i hope u guys have a great season and good luck at
