Afro Hoosier Intl was formed by Brian Gygi, Michael Gasser and Bob Port sometime in the late 1990s in the hallowed halls of Indiana University. AHI plays music of Africa and the music of the African diaspora. The band's reportoire includes roughly 20-25 songs highlighting the genres of soukous, taarab, highlife, afro-cuban, afro-funk, latin, reggae and so on.
