National Parks, Nature, Science, anything on the Discovery Networks, EMS, and my family.
Music
First and foremost, I am a Sting fan. This includes the Police up until today. From there I like many different artists and songs. My music library is easily described as eclectic. I listen to whatever suits my mood for the moment or has meaning for the person I am with.
Movies
I own WAY too many DVDs. I like almost every genre of movie. Favorites would be a bit hard to single out.
Television
I am a Sci-Fi nerd. The new Battlestar Galactica is the best thing on TV right now. I also like watching some family TV. Avatar: the Last Airbender is a great cartoon for the kids with a good storyline for the adults.
Books
You know, there was a time when I read more than things for work or school...

About me: As the name MidwestMedic implies, I am a Paramedic in the Midwestern United States. I have an AAS in Paramedic Science and a BS in Geography. I know it's one of those "What are you going to do with that?" majors. For a few years, I was a US Park Ranger. Very cool job, but so is being a Paramedic.
I used to blog from time to time, and you can find those old blogs if you try. Now, It is rare for me to blog.
On the personal front... I have four children, two girls & two boys. It's amazing how four totally unique individuals can come out of the same household. My wife is *slightly* older than me ;-), but not that anyone can ever tell. They usually put us at the same age or her younger. I put this as a consequence of her being such a nice person. It shows on her face. EMS tends to show people a lot of not nice things and not nice people. Maybe that is why I notice her niceness so much. You can visit her myspace to learn a bunch about her.
Thanks for stopping by.
Look for me to occasionally upload new pictures to my Picasa account at: http://picasaweb.google.com/MidwestMedic. I don't always make pictures public, so if you want to keep up-to-date make sure I have your email address and I'll send you private links.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to build a time machine and be able to travel the world and time meeting all sorts of people, from kings & queens to peasants & paupers.
