"...To die, to sleep; To sleep: perchance to dream: aye, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life..." - Shakespeare
Want to hear MWM LIVE? Drop us a line and tell us where you think we should play. We have a 1971 Ford Super Van like the one in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The original in 1974, not this new crap movie. Stop trying to remake this movie. Well... I did like ..2, 'cuz Dennis Hopper rocks. Mike tells me that the van in the movie was a '69, but it looks the same anyhow. I like to think it was a '71, but I regress. If you got a show our van will make it to, we are there. I'm thinkin' around Texas for now, but you never know. We Whata Wock! See you soon at a dive bar near you.
Our Van. Come fly with us...
Hard to get away from the press.

"Last night you were unhinged. You were like some desperate, howling demon. You frightened me.... Do it again!"
OK! This is the story behind the name. Play the Cramps Video above and you will unlock the secrets of our weird ass name. Not to mysteries. -DWolfe
Bob Dylan... He is the Ultimate Midwest Monster!!!
"You can take the boy out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest out of the boy."
Midwest Monster is: Dave Wolfe, Mike Franklin, Kitty Korvette and Steven Strand. Sometimes the first thing to do is to throw your hands up and yell at the top of your lungs "I'm Sick And Tired And I'm Not Goiing To Take It Any More!!!". Dave Wolfe is missing his old band, The Vibro Champs. "I have to do something original. I need to play loud guitar, NOW! Who what to come with?" Mike had been playing with Dave in The Black Irish, and thought it what time to more on. They have been friends for more years that they can count. Dave and Mike have been talking about some kind of band for 4 or 5 years. Dave and Mike moved down from the Midwest one right after the other to make there home in this Tejas land. Dave and Kitty have been talking for some time about doing something... Well... This is that something. Dave and Steven both tried out for a band together, and could not deal with the other guy in the band, so we broke it off and have been working on doing this thing for 1-1/2 years. Soooo we have been on this "something" for some time. Our first show was on Halloween 2006 in Corpis Cristi, Texas. In Honor of Freddy Fender. We are up and going strong. Hope you hate it. We will keep you abreast on what we are doing. Please check out our top 24 for other projects we are messed up with. --MWM
"Musick has Charms to sooth a savage Breast,
To soften Rocks, or bend a knotted Oak.
I've read, that things inanimate have mov'd,
And, as with living Souls, have been inform'd,
By Magick Numbers and persuasive Sound.
What then am I? Am I more senseless grown
Than Trees, or Flint? O force of constant Woe!
'Tis not in Harmony to calm my Griefs.
Anselmo sleeps, and is at Peace; last Night
The silent Tomb receiv'd the good Old King;
He and his Sorrows now are safely lodg'd
Within its cold, but hospitable Bosom.
Why am not I at Peace?" -- The phrase was coined by William Congreve, in The mourning bride, 1697:
"Come, sleep, O sleep! the certain knot of peace, The baiting-place of wit, the balm of woe; The poor man's wealth, the prisoner's release, The impartial judge between the high and low." - SIR PHILIP SIDNEY
"YES, YES and Fuckin' YES!!! THIS is why God and Les Paul invented the electric guitar! It is always nice ta make friends with those who get it!" - Trick-Toons
"I was born Feb. 12, 1809, in Hardin County, Kentucky. My parents were both born in Virginia, of undistinguished families--second families, perhaps I should say. My mother, who died in my tenth year, was of a family of the name of Hanks.... My father ... removed from Kentucky to the Midwest... Indiana, in my eighth year.... It was a wild region, with many bears and other wild animals still in the woods. There I grew up.... Of course when I came of age I did not know much. Still somehow, I could read, write, and cipher ... but that was all." -Abraham Lincoln

Thank you for the picture comment! I sure do know who Kat Von D is, what a girl. I adore her. One day she WILL tattoo me haha! I hope, if I’m lucky enough.
Yeah we get SOME American TV channels over here. I am not a big TV fan but if Kat’s on, I watch it. Wow, you are a friend of hers? That is pretty amazing!
And you’re Irish too? It really is a small world. I love Ireland. I’m planning on going to America at the end of the month. I think I am headed for L.A I have a few friends over there. I spent some time in Chicago a few months back and loved it! Much love K
