Hello there! My name is Kouichi Ogawa.
First of all, sorry about my poor English .
I initially played the guitar in the 80's live house scene.
I played in bands called Angelus (from 1982~1985) and Mightelayer (from 1985~1988).
Currently I am working on my music at home because when my mother became ill - Spinocerebellar degeneration -
and my father took all the money from home and disappeared,
I completely backed out of the guitar and music to take care of my mother and support our living.
I hadn't touched the guitar even a second for those 17 years,
otherwise I would have lost the control of myself. I thought it was impossible to do music activities and take care of my mother at the same time.
During the years and years of absence from music, nursing my mother, PC and the Internet have infiltrated our daily life.
And I happened to found MySpace and ran across Roger Bleck. He showed me the way that I can keep on playing music while at home.
I bought a MTR and got my guitar immediately.
Fortunately my mother is in stable condition, so I’ve decided to come back to the music scene in 2006.
I couldn't extinguish the flame of love to music.
Guitar is my life!!!!!
Rock is my life!!!!!
I'll upload my tunes little by little from now on.
Music like lullaby that my mother used to sing when I was a baby...
I don't actually remember her singing though...
I want to wake up the melody
that sleeps in the bottom of my memory.
Such sound is what I'm looking for .
I would like to express my gratitude to:
Roger Bleck, who has opened my mind,
Friends who always call and support me,
and finally my mother.
Hey bro , Hope your show Saturday totally rocked .I'm sure you left them wanting to come back for even more shows in the future .Hoping all is well .....Take care, Bill
Hello dear Kouichi, First of all, thank you for keeping in touch. I really appreciate your messages. Excuse my absence, I've been secluded in my own world for awhile.. now it seems I'm out of the shell, back to reality.. and life goes on. I'm happy you're doing well. If the distance wasn't so out of reach, I would love to see your lives, but I hope one day I'll be able to.
"From the Bottom of My Heart" I like that song! All my best to you! Hope your mom is doing well!
