"Never let someone better than you substitute for you if you can't make the show." Is that why I hadn't done ring announcing lately? HAAA!Mood: confident confidentPosted at 2:59 AM Nov 24 view more

Interests

  • General

Aviation, Science/Technology, obscure tv/film comedy and sci-fi trivia, Pro and amateur wrestling, football, rugby, bowling, club dancing, live music, live theatre, reading.
  • Music

barenaked ladies, rush, fat boy slim, mighty mighty bosstones, the police, the clash, rancid, social distortion, johnny cash, mojo nixon, madhouse!, the dead milkmen, cowboy mouth, southern culture on the skids, royal crown revue, swingerhead, art of noise, prodigy, helmet, henry rollins band.
  • Television

Family Guy, Simpsons, (most of what you'll see on) Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Shows I liked before they were cancelled: The Tick (animated and live), Tenacious D, Get a Life, The Ben Stiller Show. Wrestling: TNA Impact, (most) WWE shows, and I miss ECW. Otherwise, most any learning channel (PBS, A&E, History Channel). I get my TV news from CNN Headline News because I don't like talking head commentary...except when it's made fun of on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart!
  • Heroes

Heroes in my family: My Mom and Dad, my two brothers. Comedian heroes (for being truth-tellers): Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, Bill Maher, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Penn Jillette. Aviation heroes: Bob Hoover (aerobatic pilot), Jimmy Doolittle (pioneered instrument flying before leading the Tokyo Raiders in WWII), Dr. Story Musgrave (former astronaut and closest thing to a poet we ever put in space). Wrestling heroes: Mick Foley, Al Snow, The Rock, Rikishi, Tazz. These guys are unique because they can speak a promo on the mic, and fight VERY hard in the ring in such a way to take you in and make you a believer again like when you were a kid. As ordinary heroes go, my admiration goes out to anyone who improved themselves, and the world they live in, by overcoming their own fear. I'm talking the conquest of fear of failure, pain, ridicule, ruin. Heroes like that end up carrying the mean and lazy asses in our society and by all rights should be celebrated every day instead.

About me:

Engineer. Scholar. Entertainer. Pro Wrestling Ring Announcer since 2001. Worked for SCW, NWA Pro and NWA Florida, WWA, PWW, NNW, among other promotions in Florida. I possess a commanding baritone voice combined with an electrifying ring presence and professional comic timing, which has earned me notoriety among the independent Pro Wrestling community. I have been known to send men to the emergency room and women to the delivery room (who weren't even pregnant!) with the sound of my voice alone. As an in-demand ring announcer well-renowned for putting more paying asses in seats than some main-event wrestlers, I have been able to earn a princely supplemental income well above the usual high standard of living accustomed to by academics and people paid to think, like myself. Welcome in locker room as well as in back office and in the crowds, I have earned a top-executive level of professional courtesy in the pro wrestling business over the years, the privileges of which rival only the greats of industry, academia, professional sport, and entertainment. Such courtesy affords me to, among other things, write humble personal backgrounds about myself on pro wrestling websites such as this... ...free of editorial interference. ..
