But you’ll also need to have a desire to explore traditional and non-traditional advertising, including interactive, and know how to do the funky chicken (or at least be willing to learn.)

Copywriter - You can make people want to buy something in seven words or less. You know how to express a client’s strategy in a creative and engaging way. You understand that even though nobody ever reads the body copy, it still has a purpose. You’re a copywriter and you could become a copywriter for us.

We’re looking for somebody who has a book that reads like it was written by several different people - meaning you can write in different voices and styles depending on the job. You’ll need the ability to think strategically and concept creatively. You’ll need to be open to writing everything from print ads to broadcast to web sites, emails and anything else that could possibly have words on it. Good grammar is a plus, but hey it’s advertising so you can make words up if you want and win awards for it. Actually, we encourage that kinda stuff.

Production Artist - We take the position of production artist very seriously because you’re the one who really helps make stuff look good. As a production artist at Off Madison Ave you’ll have the chance to work with art directors and the opportunity to learn how to make a project shine.

We’re looking for someone who has a background in production or graphic design (school or otherwise) but above all we’re looking for someone who has a willingness to learn the craft and hone their skills. You’ll prepare all client files according to media/medium specifications and have a great attention to detail. Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat is good, add experience with Flash or other interactive design programs a huge plus. Must have strong time management skills and be able to work independently under tight deadlines.
