I began my publishing "career" (ha!) working for the legendary Lionel Conway at Maverick Music, won CMA Song Of The Year with Faith Hill's "This Kiss" and then started Mighty Isis Music in 2000. JEFF SKAGGS has been my right hand for three years and is now our CREATIVE COORDINATOR! HE ROCKS! In my opinion, great songs are great songs, and where they are written doesn't always define their genre or where they belong on the radio! I love working with writers from all over the world and cross-pollenating their talent! Sometimes you get lucky and actually get a cut!

Singer-songwriter Jon McElroy has had twenty years of success as a writer in the Nashville market, but he brings his rock edge to the mix from his years as an artist in LA. From “Flashdance” to Rascal Flatts seems like quite a leap for a classically-trained guy from Philly, but it’s just a day in the life of Dennis Matkosky, the versatile virtuoso responsible for such iconic radio smashes as “Maniac” (1 in 18 countries and 15 million records later…), “I Need You” (LeAnn Rimes) and “You’ll Think Of Me”, the pop-crossover 1 smash by Keith Urban. He has also penned hits for Diana Ross, Boz Scaggs, Smokey Robinson and Kenny G… Grammy Award-winning, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated, Dennis is never resting on his laurels… He manages to juggle writing appoint ments from Nashville to LA to London and back again, all while nurturing and developing the careers of young artist/writers like Travis Howard and The Daylights.

With multi-faceted talent, passion for the biz and zest for life, Sharon Vaughn has been a successful fixture on the Billboard country charts and on Music Row itself for the past thirty years. Originally brought to Nashville from her native Orlando by Mel Tillis, she became the head of the Lea Jane singers, singing background vocals for legends such as Porter Wagoner, Dolly Parton, Mickey Newberry, and B.J. Thomas. She also began singing jingles for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Coca-Cola and United Airlines that brought her to the attention of legendary A&R veteran Jim Fogelsong, who ultimately signed her to ABC Dot Records… but her future was really destined to be that of a songwriter… she is best known for her Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson recording of My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys…
“My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys”, recorded by Waylon Jennings in 1976, was included on the infamous “Outlaws” album, the first country album to ever sell triple platinum in the format’s history and also garner a Grammy Award. When Willie Nelson was approached to record a song for the Robert Redford film, Electric Horseman, he also chose “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys”. The song not only became a 1 smash for Willie but also garnered Vaughn an Oscar nomination for “Best Song”. Her first 1 record was The Oak Ridge B oys “Ya’ll Come Back Saloon”. She is also responsible for 1 singles by Patty Loveless (“Lonely Too Long”), Randy Travis (“Out Of My Bones”) and Trisha Yearwood (“Powerful Thing”) along with dozens of top ten singles including: Reba McEntire’s “I’m Not That Lonely Yet”, Keith Whitley’s “Til A Tear Becomes A Rose” and Mark Chesnutt’s “Broken Promiseland”. Most recently, “Trip Around The Sun” was released off Jimmy Buffett’s 1 record License To Chill. She has brand new cuts by Clay Aiken, Delta Goodrum and Japanese sensation Tata Young. She is currently hard at work with Melissa Manchester on a Broadway adaptation of the award-winning books, The Sweet Potato Queens’ Guide To Life… She is also working with Tony winner Rupert Holmes and the legendary Jerry Lewis on the musical adaptation of his autobiography “Dean and Me”. Sharon will be based in Stockholm as of this fall and will spend most of her time in the air between London, NYC, LA and Nashville!
A native of New York, Robin graduated from NYU film school and began her songwriting and screenwriting careers creating animated musical features for Disney, Steven Spielberg at Amblin, and Warner Brothers. Eventually turning her focus entirely to music, Lerner found her first success in the pop world with Sheena Easton, Chaka Khan, Carly Simon, Patti LaBelle, Jermaine Jackson, Take 6, and Luther Vandross. In the past 10 years, Robin has penned 1 hits "Out Of My Bones" (Randy Travis, "She's My Kind Of Rain" (Tim McGraw) and 1999 ACM Single of the Year and ASCAP Song of the Year "This Kiss" (Faith Hill). "This Kiss" went on to be nominated for a Grammy and won CMA Song of the Year in 2000. Robin has collaborated with Nick Lachey, Jennifer Hanson, and UK artist Ben Montague, just to name a few. She also teamed with Tom Leonard for the Backstreet Boys song, "Safest Place To Hide."
Andrew Dorff is a writer/artist currently based in Nashville. He had two albums released on Sony/Work and one on Lost Highway. He had a single out on Universal's Hot Apple Pie last year. Recently he has been focusing on writing for the Nashville market with young artists like Lee Brice (Curb), Nikki Williams and Billy Ryan (Sony/BMG), The Shoals (Warner Bros), Jessie Lee (Atlantic), Whitney Duncan (WB) and Michael Davey. He is also music supervising with his acclaimed composer father Steve Dorff on a soundtrack for the indie film "Jakes' Corner" slated for Sundance 2008.
Tom Leonard
Tom Leonard is an LA-based singer/songwriter with a killer voice and sense of melody...One of the most sought after session-singers in LA! As a writer he collaborates frequently with Lindy Robbins, Jess Cates, Dennis Matkosky, Robin Lerner, and Denny Weston, and makes frequent trips to NYC and Nashville. Most recently he has had cuts with Backstreet Boys, Jason Mraz, and several of the Australian and Hungarian Idols!
Vince is an established songwriter and keyboardist who currently resides in Nashville. He is a five-time BMI Millionaire recipient with such songs as "Walkaway Joe" (Trisha Yearwood), "What Mattered Most" (Ty Herndon), "She'd Give Anything" (Boy Howdy) and "I'll Take That As A Yes" (Phil Vassar). He also formed the band Run C&W with Jim Photoglo, Russell Smith and former Eagles bandmember Bernie Leadon. As a musician, Vince has toured or recorded with such greats as The Eagles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Don Henley, Dan Fogelberg, Jimmy Buffett, Roseanne Cash and many more.
