Right before I turned 30, I decided to make a career change and focus all of my energy towards writing. Now 2 years later I've exceeded all of my own expectations and I can't believe that I'm actually a published author. My first novel "The Monstrous Memoirs Of A Mighty McFearless" can be found in all major book stores and that just makes me so darn happy. So much so, that I often feel like crying tears of joy made of chocolate pudding!!!

I hope the answer is that yes, you're just like me, in that you've picked up a few new hobbies since 2007, but haven't stopped writing! Write!
So I'm trying to write this detective novel for NaNoWriMo and can't figure out why I can't get any words out (I haven't done 50,000 in a month yet, and this is my fourth try, but the last two years I got close to 30,000, so this year's attempt is just sad), when somebody mentions a member of your family, and I realize, OH!, I can't get any words out because I don't want to write about a flight attendant and her avionics engineer sidekick busting an identity theft ring in Ukraine - I want to write a book for elementary school kids!
I think I might base it on (fluff)Friends, a rather silly Facebook application. It's a dumb idea that just might work.
So thank you for inspiring me without your even knowing it!
The month is half over, but my friend reached 50,000 words on day 12, so there is hope for me yet.
If only I could count the words I wrote on people's Myspace profiles, Facebook walls, Livejournal posts, and so on. Sheesh. Hide my wireless adapter, please?
