Inicia su formación en la Escuela de Música “Miguel Angel Espinel” de San Cristóbal - Venezuela. Simultáneamente, forma parte de “Niños Cantores Del Táchira”, dirigido por la profesora Teresa de Rivas y del Coro Universitario de la UNET, junto al profesor Rubén Rivas. Realiza posteriormente estudios de Percusión en el Núcleo Académico de la Orquesta Sinfónica “Simón Bolívar” del Táchira, donde recibe clases del Maestro José “Cheo” Cárdenas, y los percusionistas Richard Wagner y Jerry Cárdenas.
Ha integrado en numerosas oportunidades la Banda del saxofonista Víctor Cuica, el guitarrista Gonzalo Micó, la Pianista María Virginia Ramírez, el saxofonista Rodolfo Reyes, el guitarrista Hugo Fuguet, la banda del cuatrista y cantante Rafael “El Pollo” Brito, el guitarrista Carlos Eduardo Arellano, el pianista Alberto Lazo, la banda Feeling, la cantante María Rivas, la banda Agua de Luna, el percusionista Carlos “Nené” Quintero, el violinista Eddy Marcano, el guitarrista Miguel Delgado Esteves, Kitimba Jazz, el pianista y compositor Aldemaro Romero, la cantante María Alejandra Rodríguez, la banda Casa Blanca del guitarrista Álvaro Falcón, el Latin Jazz Band de Andy Durán, la banda de la cantante de Jazz Biella Da Costa, el pianista Canadiense Jeremy Ledbetter y el saxofonista Pablo Gil entre otros.
Desde hace varios años forma parte de un grupo de jóvenes investigadores dirigidos por Danny Torres, lo cual le ha permitido asentar y adaptar muchos patrones rítmicos “afrovenezolanos” a la batería, logrando para el año 2007 escribir junto al gran pianista venezolano Hildemaro Álvarez el primer libro didáctico en la historia sobre esta materia titulado: “RITMOS AFROVENEZOLANOS PARA LA BATERIA”, Volumen 1.
Ha participado en festivales de Jazz y música Fusión tanto nacional como internacionalmente, entre los cuales destacan el festival de Jazz del Hatillo, el San Cristóbal Jazz Festival, el Festival de Jazz del Orinoco, el Festival de Jazz de Mogambo (Mérida), el Festival de Jazz de Maracay, el Festival Internacional de Música Urbana, el Festival de Jazz de la Universidad de Carabobo, el Festival Onda Latina en Joe Zawinuls Birdland Club, el Porgy & Bess Club (Viena – Austria), Festival Música do Pan (Rio de Janeiro – Brasil), Casa de Teatro Jazz Fest (Sto. Domingo – Rep. Dominicana), entre otros.
Estudia con el baterista venezolano Andrés Briceño entre los años 2001 - 2004. A partir de 2008 – 2009 es seleccionado Artista YAMAHA DRUMS y SABIAN CYMBALS llevando a cabo Clínicas y Master Class en giras dentro y fuera de Venezuela. En la actualidad cursa estudios universitarios en el Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas, en la mención de Educación Musical. Es miembro activo de la pianista y cantante Eugenia Méndez, Marcos Carrasco Jazz Trío, la cantante Toña Granados, la banda de la pianista y cantante Prisca Dávila, la banda Cores do Brasil del guitarrista Francisco “Pancho” alenso, la banda de Saúl Vera, el cantante José Angel, la cantante de Jazz y Música Brasilera Marisela Leal, la banda del bajista Carlos Rodríguez, la cantante Maruja Muci, la banda de la cantante Emmy Herrera, la banda del cantaor El Goyo Reina y de RUEM Jazz Trío, proyecto personal de este joven músico.
Miguel started to study at the music school “Miguel Angel Espinel” in San Cristóbal - Venezuela.
